Chapter Twenty-Seven

I am sitting in the courtyard doing some light reading on schoolwork, I'm wearing the scarf Cedric made me. And it's absolutely lovely!

As I turn the page in my book, I feel someone sit next to me I look up and it's Cedric.

"I need help, Athena." He tells me, I couldn't care less so I just nod and continue to read my book. I hear Cedric sigh, and my book is being ripped out of my hands. "What the hell man!" I yell trying to grab it back.

"No listen to me, and then you'll get it back." I roll my eyes but continue to watch Cedric.

"Okay, now that you're listening. I need help asking Cho to the Yule Ball."

"Who's Cho?"

Cedric turns around and points to a girl. With a Ravenclaw scarf on laughing with her friends, I open my mouth in shock and start hitting Cedric.

"Merlin's beard! That's the girl Harry has his eyes on!"

"Well, that's my girlfriend!" I just stare at her while Cedric blabbers about her to me. She's so pretty, Cedric got lucky with her. No wonder Harry likes her.

"So will you help me?" Cedric asks breaking me out of my thoughts. "Sorry explain it again. Wasn't listening." Cedric sighs and explains everything again.

"Well since you're a girl, you have to know all the girl stuff. So tell me how to ask out Cho, and I'll help you get a date to the Yule Ball."

"I don't need a date!"

"Well, you can make Harry mad, and go with George."

"Why would I go with George?"

"Because Fred is planning to ask Angelina, and George likes her. So Fred is doing it just to be annoying, so if Angelina says yes, which she will do. George won't attend the ball if his choice already got picked. So you go and ask him, he will most likely say yes. And then the two of you go together and make Angelina and Harry mad."

Cedric explains to me. I'm shocked how did he come up with this. And how does he know I fancy Harry it's not that obvious.

"I like your thinking Diggory, I'm in."

Cedric smiles and starts explaining how I can get to know Cho, so I can learn how she wants to be asked out. For the yule ball.

I'm walking through the courtyard, pretending that I'm to caught up in my book to see where I'm going. The next thing I know I'm thrown into the ground all my things falling the same with the other person, but I meant to do this. I look up and I already know who it is, it's Cho!

"I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going. Oh my, I feel terrible I'm so sorry."

I explain acting like this wasn't meant to happen. I hurry get up and hold my hand out to help Cho up. She accepts it and starts apologizing to me. I shake my head no and I say that it was my fault.

"I'm Athena Black. And again I'm sorry I wasn't looking."

"No it's fine, I wasn't looking either. I'm Cho Chang."

"Since I knocked you down, I think it's only fair I make it up to you. We can go to the kitchens and have some hot chocolate together."

"How can anyone turn hot chocolate down. I accept!"

I laugh and Cho starts walking the way towards the kitchens, while I stay behind and look for Cedric, once I see him I smile and put a thumbs up. He smiles back and starts walking off.

This better work out.

Me and Cho are in the kitchens, she is sitting on the counter and taking off her coat. While I'm making the hot chocolate, It's quiet so I decided to try and break it.

"Are you going to the Yule Ball?"

Cho's eyes light up, she jumps off the counter and walks toward me.

"Yes! I'm just waiting for my boyfriend to ask me, are you?"

"Yeah same here, it's just he's not my boyfriend. And I think he wants to ask another girl."

Cho goes quiet again, I start to pour the hot chocolate into mugs. "Well tell me more. I want to hear about you and your boyfriend." She takes her mug from my hands and starts drinking it.

"Well, his name is Cedric. He is in Hufflepuff like you. Do you know him?" 

"I know him! He made me this scarf!"

"Isn't he the sweetest?" I nod agreeing with her. "Well, I'm just waiting for him to ask me. He hasn't even talked about the Yule Ball to me, like does he not want to go with me?"

"He's probably waiting so he can do it when you least expect it. How do you want him to ask you?"

"I want him to take me to the astronomy tower. And we'll sit under the stars, and he'll ask me."

'I wish Harry would do that for me'

I can't say anything but stare. "Did I do something wrong?" Cho asks, I shake my head no, "I was just thinking."

"I really like stars. It's kind of why my name is Athena."

"Why is it, Athena?"

"My mum is named after a planet, my dad is named after a star. And I'm their little goddess."

"That is so cool! I want that!" Cho exclaims, I start laughing at her because hot chocolate is all over her face. "Your face! It's covered in chocolate!"

"Your face is the same!"

We both start laughing, even though it's not that funny. Our time is running short because we both have class soon. Cho stops laughing and is still giggling. "You didn't tell me who you, want to take to the Yule Ball."

"Oh, it's nothing. We both really should get going. Class is starting Soon."

Cho nods and starts gathering her things, I do the same. We both walk out the doors, I turn to her and give her a great big hug.

"I had fun. It's nice to have a new friend."

"I enjoyed our time too, it was nice hanging with you, Athena."

We both walked off in different directions, I walk back into the courtyard to find Cedric. I see him sitting talking to a friend of his. I run towards him and tap his shoulder.

"Cedric, a word please?"

He nods and walks away from his friend. I follow close behind. "So, how did it go?"

"It went amazing. Cho is so nice, we had hot chocolate an-" I'm cut off by Cedric interrupting me. "I meant the Yule Ball part, Athena."

"She wants to be asked out under the stars. At the astronomy tower."

Cedric smiles and hugs me, saying thank you over and over again. "I helped you so this plan to make Harry mad better work."

Cedric pulls away from me and says. "Trust me, it will work. He will realize it's not Cho he wants. He will see that it's you. And Angelina will realize the same thing with George."

"Okay, well I have to get to class, Professor Snape is making us do a test. I'll see you whenever."

I wave to Cedric as I walk off to potions.

A/N

Aw it's Cedric and Athena being nice to each other. This chapter really isn't anything but a filler and just Athena and Cho becoming friends. If this chapter has any errors please tell me and I will fix them as soon as possible. I mostly write my chapters in the middle of the night so by time I wake up and re read them I'm like what the hell did I just write. I try to catch all the errors but sometimes I go right over them. But I hope you liked this chapter bye I love you all.
