Chapter Forty-Three

Break has ended. And it was very awkward. Harry and I never talked, he did follow me around while apologizing but I would just ignore him.

Right now I'm following behind Hermione and Ron as they drag me with them.

"Where are we going?" I question them, but I get no response. "Where are you taking me?" I ask again, but still, they ignore me.

"Harry. Harry." Hermione says, calling out for Harry's attention. I start to tug out of Ron's grip he only tugs me back.

"Quit it, Athena."

I groan and try to move out of Ron's hands again. But still, he keeps a death grip on me. When we get closer to Harry I see he's talking to Cho and laughing with her, he spent this entire break crying to me how he's sorry. But he's back over there with her, it isn't fair at all.

I lean closer into Ron's arms, not wanting to let go.

When we approach them Cho stands and waits with Harry. We both look liked we switched roles, Cho who's always crying with red eyes looks happy and calm. While I look gross with red eyes and huge bags. And let's not forget my hair, even though I straightened my hair. I haven't run a single comb through it since Christmas.

"Hagrid's back," Hermione tells Harry breaking me out of my thoughts. He looks towards Cho and then back to us. "I'm sorry." He tells her.

Hermione and Harry go in front of me and Ron. I hold onto him tighter as we walk behind them slowly.

"Athena. I'm sorry." I hear from behind me, It's Cho I turn around and look at her. "Say something, please."

"I finally got him... Just because your boyfriend died. Doesn't mean you had to steal mines."

She's speechless after that. I didn't mean to bring up Cedric like that, It just slipped.

"Sorry." That is all I say before grabbing Ron's hand and leaving with him. I don't mean to be rude to Cho, but I have the right to be angry.

We're all running down the hill to Hagrid's, racing to get to his hut. Once we reach we go to the door but we stop at the window seeing as someone else is in there. It's Umbridge.

We silently watch from the window.

"I'm ordering you to tell me where you've been."

"I told you. I've been away for me health."

"Your health?"

Umbridge looks over by the window, so we all duck. Since we ducked we can't hear what's going on anymore, so sit there waiting. That's until Umbridge walks out, Ron right by her I pull him towards me so he doesn't get us caught.

Once she walks far enough we all walk into Hagrid's hut. He was expecting us so he doesn't say anything when he see's us. We all take a seat at the table while Hagrid passes us some tea.

"This is top-secret, right? Dumbledore sent me to parley with the giants." He tells all of us, we all sit there with shocked expressions. "Giants?" Hermione exclaims. Hagrid puts a finger to his lips to shush her.

"You found them?" I ask, Hagrid nods his head. "Well, they're not that hard to find, to be perfectly honest. They're so big, see?"

"I tried to convince them to join the cause. But I wasn't the only one that was trying to win them over."

"Death Eaters?" Ron asks but we all know the answer. "Yes... Trying to persuade them to join You-Know-Who."

"Did they?"

"I gave them Dumbledore's message. Suppose some of them remember he was friendly to them. I suppose."

Hagrid's face is all cut up, but no one has mentioned it except for Harry. "And they did this to you?"

Hagrid then holds raw meat to his face. "Not exactly, no." Fang then starts barking because he wants the meat. "Oh, go on, you have it, then, you dozy dog." He then tosses it to Fang he grabs it and starts eating right away.

Harry then looks down at the floor. Watching as air comes in and brushes all the things on the floor aside. Fang then starts barking again Hagrid gets up all of us following him. He stares out by the window where the air is coming in from, all of us behind him.

"It's changing out there. Just like last time. There's a storm coming, Harry. We'd all best be ready when she does." I can see Harry's face change, I want to hold his hand and comfort him. But he doesn't deserve that, if he needs it so bad he can just ask Cho.

We're back in the room of requirements, Harry is up talking and I couldn't care less.

"Make it a powerful memory, the happiest you can remember. Allow it to fill you up."

I turn to Luna and watch her as she tries to do it. "What's your happy memory?" I ask as she focuses on her wand. "Anytime I spend with my dad, or you." I smile at that, my happiest moment has been ruined. Since it was Harry and I's first kiss, but when I think of it all I can see is Cho.

Harry walks by Luna and me. "So focus, Luna." She nods and tries to do it. Harry then looks at me, I stare back. "Why aren't you trying?" He asks me, I shrug my shoulders.

"Well do you need help?"

"No, leave me alone."

He sighs and walks off from me. I lift my wand and try to think of a happy moment. I think of Cedric, and when he gave me my scarf and the card. And his stupid plan to get Harry and me together.

"Expecto Patronum," I say while flicking my wand up. And outcomes a little cat, it's jumping around and it looks tiny. Like a munchkin cat, I smile and watch it circle around me.

Luna then says it. And a little hare comes from her wand. She smiles while watching, soon both of our Patronus are playing together. But as we're laughing we can feel the room shake. Causing us to stop and both of our Patronus to disappear.

We all gather around, watching as the wall shakes. Soon the glass on the wall is on the ground, and only the brick wall is shown.

"Bombarda Maxima." The brick wall explodes, I grab Luna's hands and try to cover her. Since there is now a big hole in the wall, we can see everything out there and what's out there is Umbridge. And her group of kids, and Filch.

Soon Malfoy walks over and he has Cho in his arms, she's looking down.

"Get them."
