Chapter Twenty-Four

Cedric and I have been walking for a while. We haven't been talking to each other, and I want to leave. So I thought of a lie to get out of this. I will ask to use the bathroom and sneak off.

"I need to go use the bathroom." I quickly blurt out to Cedric. He nods his head and we start walking to the bathroom. Once we reach I tell Cedric.

"You can walk off. You don't have to wait here."

"It's fine. I can wait."

I walk into the bathroom. I start hitting my head, trying to think of a way to get out of here. Without him seeing me.

I wait a little while by the door. And I wait for him to turn his back away from the door. And that's when I make a dash for it. I didn't get far. Because as soon as I started walking, I hear someone asks.

"Athena. Are you escaping?"

Merlin! I'm caught. I slowly turn around and look at Cedric. He doesn't look very happy. I'm about to talk but before I can he talks first saying.

"What are you trying to do?"

I quickly try to come up with an excuse. But I'm not very good at that. So I say

"Well. I just remembered I didn't feed my cat. Sabrina and you know she's got to eat." Cedric looks me up and down with a questioning stare. Which soon turns into a smile.

"I love cats. I could just come with you."

I stand there with my mouth open. In shock, because I want to leave doesn't he? I close my mouth biting my tongue not to say anything rude. I turn around and start walking Cedric following behind me.

"Here it is." I mumble to Cedric, while opening my dorm door. He slowly walks in shutting the door behind him. Sabrina is sleeping peacefully on my bed, her food bowl is very much full. I hope Cedric doesn't see that.

"Merlin! Can I pet her?" Cedric asks me. I nod my head sitting at the end of the bed next to him. He puts his hand on Sabrina's stomach rubbing it up and down. He stares with his mouth open in amazement. While Sabrina starts purring.

"I guess she likes you." I tell him smiling at this moment in front of me. Cedric stops rubbing her stomach and turns to look at me. "You know. Mum never let me get a cat she is allergic. Always wanted one though."

"Steal a cat behind her back. She can't say no once you have it."

Cedric chuckles and replies' saying. "Why do I feel like you've done it before?"

I just shrug my shoulders and start laughing with him. He then asks me where did I get Sabrina from.

"I got her from my godfather. He was here last year. Professor Lupin." Cedric's face turns up at the mention of that. His face is a kind of disgusted look. "What?" I ask him.

"your godfather. He is a werewolf! Someone who is dangerous, and shouldn't be here!"

I immediately push him off my bed. And I stand up from where I was sitting. Pointing to the door. I yell at him.

"Get out. Get out right now!"

"Wait, Athena," Cedric says, trying to hold my hand to his. I push him back off. And grab my wand

"I said get out, Diggory." 

He almost instantly shoots up when he sees I'm not joking. Scrabbling to his feet and grabbing his things and trying to leave. As he reaches the door it's opened not by him though. It's Hannah Abbott. One of my dormmates, Cedric shoves into her as he tries to get out. Once he's gone I look at Hannah with a what face. She turns around and leaves

I lay on my bed Sabrina rubbing up on me. I sigh and cover my eyes, while I think to myself.

'Right when I thought we were getting somewhere.'

Cedric is wrong for that. Like really wrong. But this is them hanging out it didn't go very well, sorry for updating kind of late I'm dealing with some family issues. But I hope you enjoyed the chapter, please tell me if there is any errors. I love you guys bye.
