Chapter 12

I felt Aniket catching me as I fell to the ground.

Abhi, Rajnish and another boy just walked in laughing and talking.

None of them looked shocked, in fact, they all looked like they knew what was going on.

'Abhi ?', I asked.

As they all came in the room, the boy with them locked the door. I felt scared. I could literally hear my heart beating as fast and hard as it could. I wanted to see the boy with them, but I couldn't take my eyes of Abhi and Rajnish.

'So, Aniket, how was she ? Did you enjoy with her ?', asked Rajnish.

'Well .... I just had her body,  not her. But that itself was too good. I can't imagine her in consciousness.', he said.

'Lucky you, I couldn't even start off with anything. I remembered that Aniket was to go before me. May I have a go now ?', Rajnish said with a smirk.

'Your wish. She's ours now, so ......', said Abhi.

Rajnish came forward and tried to caress my cheek.

'GET LOST ! DON'T EVEN THINK OF TOUCHING ME !', I screamed and pushed him away, as I regained all my lost energy.

'Tch, tch. Don't do that, Rukmini. I've warned you earlier. If you do that again, you shall face the music.', he said.

I was still shocked .... why would Abhimanyu do something like this ?

'Why did you do this to me ? What have I done to you ?', I asked them innocently.

'You really don't know what you've done ? Don't pretend, Rukmini.', said Abhimanyu.

'I really don't know.', I said softly, still in a state of shock.

'You don't recognise us ? None of us ?', asked Rajnish.

I quietly nodded my head to show a negative answer.

'I really don't know. What have I done that you are doing this to me ? Why have you ruined my life ? Abhimanyu, I thought you loved me. It's not even been a week since we're married, and you've ruined my life. What wrong have I done, please tell me.', I said looking at Abhimanyu.

'Really, Rukmini ? I can't believe, you can't recognize us ....', said the boy who had come with them. His back was turned to me. I didn't know who he was, although the voice seemed familiar.

'Maybe you'll remember everything after you meet him.', said Rajnish pointing towards the boy.

The boy turned around and looked at me. What I saw, stunned me.

It was Vikramaditya ......

'You don't know me ? Look at me clearly. You can never forget me, or have you ?', he said looking down at me.

I was still not able to take in everything, I just couldn't.

'No, no. It-it can't be you. N-no, it - it - it's,  just not possible. This can't h-ha-happen.', I said as I sanked onto the floor.

Aniket carried me in his arms. I tried to resist, but was already too weak to stand and couldn't hit him either.

'Put me down.', I said softly to Aniket.

'No. I will not. You're too weak to even stand. If I let you stand, you'll collapse after a while.', he said.

I stared at Vikramaditya.

Vikramaditya. Vikramaditya Dadasaheb Deshmukh. The youngest child of Dadasaheb Deshmukh. The person I dreaded the most.

The person who almost ruined my life when I was in college.

Remember the last memory I saw in my dream of me and Arjun ? The boy who I had been speaking about ..... that boy was Vikramaditya.

But, all his brothers looked different then.

How could I not realise, that it was one of his brothers with whom I was getting married ? How could I have been such a fool ?

The memories of that day flooded my mind as I went into a state of shock and unconsciousness again.
