————"Fuck." Calum breathes as he pulls away from Zeppelynn, every part of his body feeling buzzed by the intensity of the kiss, his lips craving for another taste.
"Shhh." Z whispers, pulling his head gently forward again, their lips meeting easily, slotted together like puzzle pieces as Calum swipes his tongue against her lower lip, meeting her tongue within seconds. Deeply attaching himself to her again, as his arms secure more tightly around her waist, pulling her chest flush against his. His mind feeling lightheaded and dizzy at the sensation of kissing her again.
Damn." Z pants lightly, pulling back a few millimeters from his lips after a minute. Her lips slightly swollen and looking very tantalizing to Calum as he rests his forehead against hers.
"We were, um, coffee." Calum mumbles, chuckling lightly.
"Right. We are in public." Zeppelynn laughs, "so how about I buy you that coffee now?" She smiles, letting her arms fall from around his neck.
"Come on." Calum chuckles again, releasing his hold on her and bending down to grab the crutch the car door hadn't caught.
"This place looks cute." Zeppelynn comments as they head for the door of the establishment.
"It's actually a used bookstore and coffee shop. You can find some real treasures in the aisles of this place. It's one of my favorite hidden gems in LA." Calum smiles, pulling open the door, the overwhelming aroma of old books and coffee mixed with something sweet greeting them both as he does.
"I like it. It's very Calum." Z nods, crossing the threshold easily. A weird kind of tension still hangs between them as their eyes linger longer than necessary on the other as they talk.
"Did you want to look around a minute before we get a drink?" Calum asks, his hand falling to the small of her back easily as she crutches towards a small display.
"If you're okay with it." She bites her lip nervously.
"Of course." He nods, motioning for her to continue where she was headed. The two of them slipping between the tall shelves.
Calum can't help but watch Z as she moves, slowly guiding her crutches between the crowded shelves, the empty aisle giving her an easy path as her eyes track over the spines of the stories. His focus falling to the hollow of her collarbone, she liked to be kissed there...
"Oh, look at this!" She smiles, reaching in front of her to pull a book from the shelf. The warm red leather falling open easily in her hands.
"What is it?" Calum chuckles, stepping behind her, wrapping his arms easily around her middle as he peaks over her shoulder.
"A 1908 copy of Little Women." She grins, delicately turning the pages of the book.
"You read Little Women?" Calum askes, somewhat surprised.
"Dad had mom's old copy on the shelf for years and years. It was her favorite. So when I was about ten I picked it up and read it, and I've read it probably twenty times since." She nods.
"You should get it. That's got to be rare to find such an old copy." Calum shrugs, pressing a kiss to the side of her head, earning himself a smirk and eyebrow raise from Zeppelynn.
"I might." She smiles, turning her attention back to the fragile book, Calum lowering his head to rest against the top of hers easily.
It's too easy almost, the way they have fallen into a rhythm already. The way he so easily accepted her apology. The sparks the kiss ignited in his chest that only want to burn brighter instantaneously. But nothing had felt as good as holding her, nothing since the last chance he had to do exactly this. His lips pressing warm soft kisses across her hair, rubbing his thumb against the hem of her t-shirt and side as he hugs her.
