Chapter III - First Impression, First Perception

Today is the day. The first day of school.

I wake up in the best possible way. I hop out of bed, opening the curtains to the warm morning sunlight. Before I shower, I make sure Caleb is awake. It takes a brief moment but he, too, wakes up in high spirits. He takes over the bathroom first. Meanwhile, I cook breakfast and feed Sliver, who greets me by leaping into my arms.

Once Caleb is out, I rush in. He laughs at how I try to rush. Even though we have plenty of time, I still want to drop Caleb off at school and take some 1st school day photos.

*Knock Knock*

Someone knocks at the door. Silver eagerly rushes to the door as Caleb follows behind. He looks through and smiles.

"Good Morning, Denki!" Caleb smiles. Kaminari comes in and ruffles his hair.

"Morning, Caleb. Is your brother ready?"

"Yea. He should be soon--"

{Bubba, should I go glasses or no glasses?} I rush out of my room, not even aware of Denki showing up. For a brief moment, I am frozen. He stares me up and down with his mouth agape. "Oh, Kaminari. Good Morning."

"Dude! Talk about a total chick magnet!" Denki exaggerates. I simply laugh it off. "How am I supposed to compete with you?"

"Thanks. I just wanted to mix things up." I answer. I decided to step out of the standard uniform and add a little style to it. Instead of the normal U.A. uniform jacket, I wear the school's vest with sleeves rolled up. My pants are more slim-fitted compared to the default style or baggy version. Instead of those basic penny loafers, I have a nice pair of Chelsea boots. I wear a burgundy Swatch watch and am slowly drawing near wearing glasses.

"You shouldn't wear the glasses, Adon," Caleb says. "They're fake anyway."

Trusting my little brother's judgment, I put the glasses aside, in my backpack in case I change my mind.

With breakfast out of the way, Silver fed, and everyone all set, we head out the door. Thank goodness, our schools are within a good walking distance. I'd rather enjoy the fresh air than being cooped up in a car.

We first reach Caleb's elementary school. Of course, I become more doting and excited. We take a decent amount of photos in front of the school and cherry blossoms, even pulling Denki into some of them. Afterward, we finally set the young boy free. I give him a huge hug before he eagerly runs into the dual doors.

"Good to go?" Kaminari asks. I nod with a slight tear rolling down my cheek.

Not too long after, we finally make our way up to the school on the hill.

The moment I step foot on the campus, I stop to look around. Now that I am more attentive, I can't help but notice how beautiful it really is. Just the exterior setting of the school screams out prestigious.

Kaminari and I quickly make our way to our assigned classroom. During that walk, as expected, heads are turning all over. Students all over speak among themselves with their gazes directed my way.

"Damn. First day and you already got folks talking," Denki says discreetly.

"Let them talk," I answer, smiling to myself. "I'm here for one reason and one reason only."

There's only one thing in my mind - my reason for being here.

To seize an opportunity.

We reach a giant classroom door, which says, "1-A".
