After ten matches - ten hard-fought bouts - one battle remains. The battle of two young men, taking on a mentor and a mother. Though one boy may see this fight as a simple exam, he presses on to seize the opportunity and make his mentor proud, for his sake and his partner. The other has a little more at stake, where his status is on the line. Still, these young men hold their opponent in such high regard that no one wants to run and head for the escape gate.

They want to give her the fight of her life.

The eleventh and final match of the afternoon takes place in the Ruins Zone of the USJ. It is quiet, nothing more than a destroyed urban environment with buildings on the verge of collapse.

The horn blows, following the announcer commencing the matchup.

Team Smith and Quarta. Practical Exam. Ready, GO!

Adonis walks through the "abandoned" city, scouting the area. He stays alert at all times, for he knows that the Lady of the Soul may strike at any given moment.

He stops. Using his Third Eye, the keen-eyed student senses her nearby; moreover, he feels her presence. To him, that aura is unmistakable.

Adonis quickly turns his head to the spot where he thought his proctor would be: atop the parking garage deck. No one is there.

"So, this is the game we're playing after all," He sighs, slightly smiling afterward. "At least, she's playing the villain role well."

A sudden strike from behind comes from afar, aiming for the back of Adonis' head. At the last second, he tilts it to the left effortlessly.

«It's game time.» The boy mutters. That attack draws back. Turning around he gets a clearer look as the same strike draws near. This time, Adonis twists his body and catches what was about to hit him.

An iridescent whip.

«Gotcha!» Wrapping the end of the whip to his hand, pulls the figure from the other end. The figure comes into view. Soulius has finally appeared.

Rather than waiting to avoid Adonis' grasp at a certain time, she rushes directly at him.

There Lavelle grabs him by the shoulders, flipping over his head. After recovering her whip, she places it in her holster and uses simple hand-to-hand combat against her student.

Lavelle's movements, whether offensive or defensive, are so filled with grace. So elegant and fluid, yet so swift and daunting. Despite putting Adonis in a tough situation, it flows really well. Her flow leads the pro to find an opening. She breaks through his defenses and strikes with a double-hand palm strike.

Adonis is pushed a good distance away from his opponent. He remains on his feet.

«You're still on your feet. Well done.» Soulius sarcastically compliments, slowly applauding him. She then places her hand on her whip. «Too bad it won't be for long.»

«I'm not how I used to be, milady.» Adonis answers.

«I beg to differ.» She chuckles. «Besides...»

Soulius suddenly ducks from Azure's surprise attack. She smirks at how easy it is. She wants to strike back, but her son makes a counter of his own.

She strikes back, hitting Silas in his liquified state. As her hand passes through, Silas returns to normal and grabs her.

With Adonis sprinting to join his partner, that leaves enough time for their villain to counter. Soulius throws her son over her back, directly into Adonis. With her hands still wrapped around Silas' arm, she drags him around again, using all of his weight to swat Adonis.
