"Hey, sorry for pushing it. I know it's your first day."
"No worries, Donny. I could wait... besides..."
"It's been a while since I've seen those tarot cards. What did you get?"
"Justice. I have a good feeling this will be interesting."
---
The weekend is now behind us.
A great, menacing opponent is coming very soon.
What am I talking about, you may ask?
Well... it's...
"Be ready. Finals are vastly approaching." Aizawa states so bluntly. We all stare in silence as we are not too happy about it. "You have about a week until exams, both written and physical. I will just up and say this, too. Your success rides on your eligibility to attend the training camp this summer."
"WHAT?!!!"
"You heard correctly. If you fail, you will not go." Judging by the professor's glare, this was no deception. He meant what he said. "Now let's move to the next task at hand."
The door slides open. All eyes are directed towards the entrance.
Coming in with a toothy grin and a pep in his step, Silas walks to the side of the podium. Those who have already met him, smile, happy to see him. As for the others, they are either intrigued or confused.
"Greetings, everyone," He bows. "The name's Silas Quarta. You may know me as the Hydro Hero: Azure. I am the son of the States Number Two Hero, Soulius, and Adonis's boy--"
My friend quickly stops mid-word when he sees the deadly daggered glare I shoot at him.
"My... my best friend, hahaha! Regardless, it is a pleasure to meet you all and I look forward to the days ahead."
Light applause is heard. Silas turns his head and a smirk graces his face. He returns to his normal smile as he lays his eyes on... Midoriya!
It hits me. He got the Justice card. Could Izuku represent...?
"Great to see you again, Midoriya," Silas waves. Midoriya reluctantly, and nervously no less, waves back. "I never got to speak with you directly, but I've always sensed a strong aura coming from you. I'm sure Adonis could say the same."
"No question there," I softly smile with a light sweatdrop.
"Quit beating around the bush and come out with it already," Aizawa orders. His arms are crossed, almost irritated by the time being wasted - either that or he is simply cranky from his constant lack of sleep.
"Fine, fine," Silas raises his hands. "Midoriya, or Deku I should say, I challenge you to a duel."
"W-what?!" Izuku exclaims. "O-Oh, no! I wouldn't dare fight with a seasoned vet like you!"
"Aww, but your power says otherwise," Silas pouts. "I daresay it's on par with All Might. I can't pass that up--"
"He said he doesn't wanna do it, jackass!"
I facepalm once Katsuki opens his mouth. The ash-blonde stands from his seat and approaches the blue-haired boy.
"Deku doesn't have the balls to step up, so why not try me on for size?"
"Oh, you're the guy with the inferiority complex." Silas smiles. Bakugou tenses up with instant anger. The rest of us are all taken off-guard by the sudden roast. "Listen, blondie, with all due respect, I am actually looking for a challenge. Not some bomb I can easily defuse."
