You can do this, Adonis.

One stage down, three to go.

Your next opponent is Tokoyami. Sure, he may have far more of an effective quirk, not to mention the upper hand when it comes to offense and defense but

You have skill. You're quick on your feet and you can turn any bad situation into your favor.

Kishi Kaisei, Adonis. Wake from death and return to life. You fall down seven times, stand up eight.

You--

My eyes snap open at the sudden tremors hitting. Even though the television in my waiting room is silent, it obviously doesn't prevent the noise out in the field. I look at the TV just in time to see the damage on the battleground. The smoke covers everything, eventually clearing up - all for us to see the result of the first match in the second round.

Midoriya is out of bounds. I think to myself looking on. Todoroki advances.

I sigh, hoping Izuku will be able to recover.

In any case, I leave the room. With Iida in the upcoming match, I figure this will end quickly.

Once I walk out of the waiting room and around the corner, an unexpected figure appears. I bump into what feels like a brick wall.

"So sorry! I--" I back away, getting a better look at who stands in front of me. Woah.

Talk about large! Standing in front of me is a huge, tall, muscular man pretty much engulfed in his own flames from head to toe. He eyes me with the meanest look. Meanwhile, I am more perplexed than intimidated.

"The underdog," He says. I can only chuckle at such a notion.

"The underdog, huh," I laugh. "Didn't think I was deemed so."

"You're the only competitor who doesn't show any sign of your quirk. Either you don't have one or it is highly inefficient in combat." He answers. The remark somewhat shoots my pride... because I have worked hard to use it! "However, you somehow make up for it with skill... one that is all too familiar."

"Well, um... thank you, I guess." I awkwardly chuckle. Soon we hear Present Mic shouting about Iida's victory. Suspecting as much, I smile to myself. "Apologies. You'll have to excuse me. My match is up next."

I try to pass. His big hand holds me back.

"Who did you learn from--"

"Adonis! There you are!" There, Soulius approaches us with Caleb. I couldn't help but notice the grin she has slowly fades away...

All because of the flames flaring in front of her.

"Hey, Soulius--"

"Figures you were the one teaching this boy," The flaming hero turns around to my mentor's way. "It's been a while, Lavelle."

"Not long enough." She replies. Soulius looks at the other pro hero with solemnity, at the same, a daunting aura in her eyes. It's clear they know each other... but do they have some sort of history together? A bad one perhaps? "I suggest you stay away from my child. I don't need you corrupting him."

"Why corrupt what has already been corrupted." He replies. The smile slowly disappears as he reveals his true thoughts of me.

"This coming from the man who put his own family through hell over his obsession."

"I brought my family to the highest pinnacle," The fiery pro hero's voice gradually grows. "Shoto will show you firsthand why he will be the one to surpass All Might. Unlike this lowlife--"
