Chapter 15

The Sign

She ran through different realms just to escape the danger, she was outnumbered and now running for her life. The evils are chasing her, they were too many, enough to defeat her in a battle.

And now, luck is not on her side. She is cornered.

"We will set you free, and will harm you not, in exchange to give me the stone" a man whose half body is only bones and rotten flesh and the other half is a body of a man.

"I will never let you have the stone, ever!" She exclaimed.

"You'll going to kill me first before you can have the stone" she said, challenging the others.

In front of her are her enemies surrounding her, they were ten and she is all alone, but she is not afraid of them and will never be.

But before she could utter another word, a sword embedded to her chest making her cough in blood.

Baekhyun gasped as his heart is pounding heavily, tears were streaming on his face as the haunting memories-like nightmare played in his mind. This was his first time having this kind of dream, it feels so real, it's like his past memories, but it ain't.

He looked around and saw nothing but darkness. It's still dark. He wanted to go back to sleep but couldn't, as the past memories played in his mind again and again making him feel guilty and lonely, as he is now all alone in the darkness.

He missed Luhan, he missed him very much, his hug, his touch, his voice, everything. It's already been months since they last saw each other.

He stood in the huge window in their chamber while humming, he hummed all the loneliness and the sadness he is feeling right now, until he fall back to sleep.

Morning came so fast, and the petite boy was awoken by a cold water that was splattered in his face.

"Wake up cursed bitch!" The fat woman yelled loudly at him making him flinched even in his slumber state.

Baekhyun got up immediately and did what the old fat lady told, which is to clean their chamber. He quickly finished cleaning their chamber before proceeding to the emperor's chamber to serve him.

On his way in the corridor, he spotted a boy with two tall grown man on his both sides standing in front of the doorway in the emperor's chamber. He immediately approached them, and to his surprise is that he knew this boy, it's Prince Deigo.

"Your Highness?".

"You're here!" Baekhyun immediately bowed his head and so does Deigo.

"Yeah, well actually I'm... you know... Can I have you to accompany me to my tea party, if you're free? Please Your Highness, please" Deigo replied.

"I would love to..." Baekhyun did not finish the sentence when Deigo suddenly hugged him.

"Yes!" He squealed.

"... but that's if your father would allow me to".

And Deigo's wide smile immediately turned into a frown. Then a mischievous smirk formed into his lips as he think of his great idea.

Without uttering any words, Deigo dragged the white haired boy along with him, in which Baekhyun can't do anything but to follow the taller.

"You're Highness, I don't think this is a good idea, what if your father would find out about this?" Baekhyun is worried that if the emperor would find out about this, the two of them would be a dead meat.

"He won't, trust me, besides father is not here, he is busy" the Crown Prince replied nonchalantly.

"Ok fine" Baekhyun sighed as he let himself being dragged by the crown prince. While Deigo's bodyguard followed them behind.

They arrived at the castle yard that is located behind the Eastern wing palace. This is a place where young royalties and nobilities were trained in archery, martial arts, and swordsmanship. Its structure is similar to that of an arena, and the equipments and weapons are arranged thoroughly in the weaponry in the side.
