Chapter 14

Is This The Beginning?

Baekhyun woke up so early in the morning, or more likely dawn, the sun has not yet rises and the surrounding is still dark. His roommates are still sleeping while snoring like a scumbag swine.

He got up from the floor while trembling because of the coldness, and immediately but carefully went out of the chamber. Not wanting to wake up the snoring swines.

He walked through the corridor when he suddenly heard a moaning sounds, he stopped from his track and focuses to the disturbing sounds. He decided to follow where the strange sounds is coming from, and was shocked when he saw the two silhouettes on the floor. The other one is a silhouette of a woman who is leaning her back on the floor, while the other one is a silhouette of a man who is hovering above the woman.

Baekhyun can't clearly see what they are doing because the corridor is a bit dark. But even without light, he is certainly sure that the woman is in need, judging from their position. He need to do something, he need to save the her. He encourages himself.

He swiftly charges towards the man before kicking his ass off making the man groaned in pain. The curtain in the window was blown away by the cold breeze, allowing the light to enter the room.

He was shocked, utterly shocked, when the light entered the room. It allows him from seeing the horrifying scene right in front of his very own eyes.

Chanyeol the great emperor is hovering above the beautiful servant lady that was on the floor, both of them are stripped naked. He saw everything. My poor innocent eyes.

"Baekhyun?" Chanyeol spoke in a half whispered tone, his eyes were widened in surprise. Baekhyun's cheeks heated up in embarrassment, he just kicked the emperor's ass off. Baekhyun immediately bowed his head to pay respect to the emperor and to also not see the awful scene in front of him.

Chanyeol stood up before he spoke. "What are you doing here?" He asked while his eyebrows are knitted together, gripping on the hem of Baekhyun's robe in the collar, while towering the petite boy.

"Erm... umm... I... I was... I was about to go outside... but I happened to stumbled upon here... my apologies, Majesty" Baekhyun explained his reason and bowed his head in apology and embarrassment.

Chanyeol wanted to punish the boy for being disrespectful and interrupting his happiness, but decided let him go and continued his business.

Baekhyun immediately get away from the gripped of the emperor before heading to the imperial kitchen. There, he snuck in and grabbed some meat, he knew stealing is bad, but he has no other option. He will never let his animals die in starvation.

He carefully grabbed some dried meat that was hanged above the fire stove, before running away as fast as he can. This was his routine, stealing some meat every dawn to feed his animals. Even though his animals would always tell him that the animal keepers are feeding them well but Baekhyun still doesn't trust the animal keepers at all.

After he got out from the center wing servants' quarter and successfully sneaking in, in the animal shelter, it was already morning. The darkness is slowly fading away as the sun is rising.

"Hey, Mira, White, Black" Baekhyun called their names in a whisper tone, not wanting wake up the other animals there.

The three animals immediately woke up when they heard Baekhyun's voice.

"Your Highness!" They roared when they saw Baekhyun.

"Shhhh, keep your voice low" Baekhyun warned while placing his index finger in front of his lips.

"Ops sorry, we missed you, Your Highness" White said, wanting a hug from Baekhyun but couldn't, because they are inside from an iron cage, there's an iron bar that separates them.

"I missed you too my babies... here eat this up, I'm sure you're hungry" Baekhyun said as he handed a sliced of meats towards them.

"Thanks Your Highness, you're the best" Black thanked him while ravishing the meat.

"I gotta go now before someone might spots me here" Baekhyun announced in hurry tone.

"Ok, Your Highness, take care of yourself, bye" Mira said in concern.

"You too Mira, I love you guys bye".

"Bye Baek" the three of them said in unison.

Baekhyun left the place as fast as he can before heading to the roof of the servants' quarter. There, he stood, before whistling, calling his falcon.

After a minutes of calling his falcon, Eye finally showed up. She soar through the sky and slowly flew down before landing her feet on Baekhyun's arm. He fed her a chunks of meat.

Baekhyun is now the imperial garden to pick some flowers, it's what the servants told him to do. He carefully picked the beautiful flowers one by one before putting it on the basket.

"Hi" a voice echoed throughout the field, that made Baekhyun's soul almost jumped out from his body in surprise.

He was so surprised that causes him to   slipped making the basket that is full of flowers thrown away and Baekhyun shuts his eyes waiting to fall. But luckily a pair of strong arms caught his small frame, preventing him from falling. He slowly opened his eyes, and saw the man, it was... Sehun?

Sehun's strong arms are wrapped around Baekhyun's slender waist while locking their eyes together.

Baekhyun cleared his throat and immediately stood straight, as his cheeks heated up. Sehun saw how the white haired boy blushes, and hid his red face.

"I apologize for my action, Your Highness, I didn't mean to do that in that way, I was in surprised, I'm really sorry your highness" Baekhyun apologizes and bowed his head 90 degree.

"No no no, I should be the one to apologize, I'm the one who made you surprise after all" Sehun said with a smile and bowed his head down 90 degree.

"No, Your Highness. It's ok, I'm the one who's at fault here" Baekhyun replied, he and Sehun unconsciously bowed their heads together which resulted in the collision of their heads.

"Ouch!" Baekhyun squeaked and scratches his head.

"Opss sorry" Sehun apologized and scratches his nape

Sehun helped Baekhyun in picking up all the flowers that were thrown to the ground, and offered Baekhyun to accompany him back to the palace in which Baekhyun agreed.

"So, Your Highness. How old are you now, and what's your favorite color. And oh, what's your favorite food?" Sehun uses his awkward moves to flirt with him, and bombarding the white haired boy with a series of questions.

Baekhyun answered all his questions one after another, without missing his bright smile that will light up your whole world.

He was relieved that Sehun is not the same with his older brother, Chanyeol.

He is gentle, polite, kind, and bright with a bit of silliness. They have so much in common, like their likes and dislikes. Unlike his older brother, the emperor, who is arrogant, rude, ruthless and a perv.

"And oh, Your Highness. You don't really have to address me a highness. I'm not a prince anymore, you know hehehehe"  he said, as he smiled awkwardly to Prince Sehun

The two of them enjoyed chatting each other while walking back to the palace, unaware of the pair of a watchful eye, watching their every movements with full of hatred and anger.
