The Undeads

"They are...".

"They are the undead".

"Undead? What is this shit you are talking about!?" Chanyeol becomes irritated, he doesn't know if he should believe this boy or not.

"I... it's true... the legend is true..." he said, as his skin is changing its color.

"Ughh ahh... ahhhh..." Chanyeol watches Kiamma as he groaned in agony, skin turning into purple, blood oozing in his eyes, nose, and ears.

The emperor was petrified in horror as he watched the boy in front of his very own eyes, as its body swelled.

"Ughh... he... help... me..." Kiamma begged as his body turned into a balloon-like.

The boy's body burst when it reaches its full size, making the blood spewed in the chamber. Chunks of flesh were thrown on the floor, and the guts were hung on the tax collector's neck.

Then, swarms of insects came out from the body, as it flew around the chamber.

"Aahhhhhhrrr!!" The tax collector screamed in horror, as the insects crept on his body.

Chanyeol quickly exited the chamber, ordering the servants to clean the throne chamber, before he went to the general to prepare his armies, to save the Sapphire City.

Baekhyun is sitting in the balcony as usual, while letting the sunlight struck his skin, making it glows like a marble. He's just relaxing here to get rid of his boredom, since he is not allowed to go out from this chamber.

"Oh, what a lovely flower is that" Baekhyun mumbled as he saw the beautiful flowers that were coiled around the small pillars.

And without any hesitation, Baekhyun approached the alluring flower before smelling its fragrance.

"Mmmm, smell so gooood!" Baekhyun squealed cheerfully as the particles of its smells, went inside his nostrils. Baekhyun can't help, but to touch the vibrant and colorful flowers.

His dainty finger slowly and gently touches the delicate petals of the flower. But, horror was painted in his eyes as soon as his skin came in contact with the flower.

He was traumatized, when the plant suddenly changes its color. It gradually loses its vibrant color as it slowly withers.

Baekhyun stepped back immediately in shock, making him loses his balance and causing him to hit his back on the marbled floor. He groaned in pain.

Baekhyun has no idea what have just happened, his mind was flooded with mix emotions of fear and confusion, as he thinks of a reason that might causes the sudden death of the plants.

He immediately got up and brushes off the dust on his robe, before he went inside the chamber.

Chanyeol and his armies arrived in the Sapphire City, and were welcomed with the deafening silence.

The place is like an abandoned city, it has a beautiful structures left but without people. It is quiet and gloomy.

Strange is the only word that is stuck on the tip of his tongue, this place should've a corpses scattered everywhere, as this place was plagued in dark forces. But there's none. So it only means this is a trap.

The emperor signalled his armies to be prepare for any battle they may face.

They continue to search the whole place, they investigate every corner of places in search for a sign of life or even a trace, but nothing. Instead, all they found is a ruined gates and structures that is surely caused by evil.

Chanyeol headed to the grand library to investigate further, there thousands of books, and torn pages, and scrolls that were scattered all over the ground. But there's one that caught his attention, a rotten wooden box that was safely placed on the shelf.

The box was unveiled when the books and scrolls were removed that used to cover it.

He approaches the object before picking it up, he then opened the box, and found three rotten scrolls inside.

The emperor scrunched his eyebrows, full of curiosity and excitement.

He opened the scrolls one by one, and it was filled with strange symbols and unknown writings he couldn't read.

What are these for? He thought to himself.

Then, he spotted something that caught his interest. He saw a three human-like figures that were imprinted on the scroll, they were surrounding a dark sphere.

Chanyeol could tell there is something special that were written in the scroll, though he can't read it but he can feel it.

He gathered the three ancient scrolls before he left the library.

"Any findings?" The emperor asked the warrior who is patiently waiting outside.

"No, Imperial Majesty. There's none" he replied.

"We should head back" Chanyeol said, and the warrior nodded.

The Eastrian armies gathered before they head back home together.

Back in the castle, Baekhyun was anxious of what happened awhile ago. He had been pacing back and forth for the nth time, worried and afraid of what it meant in the future. No word can describe how affright he is right now.

Baekhyun stopped from pacing, when he felt a drip of liquid fell on his right foot. He looked down and was shocked to see a drip of blood, fresh crimson red. He looked above the ceiling to see where it came from, but there's none.

Then, another drip fell. This time, he felt something watery that crept down to his lips. He immediately wiped it off using the back of his palm, and when he looked at the back of his palm, a scattered blood was seen.

Panicked arose in his mind, he doesn't know what is happening to his body anymore. He quickly runs to the door to seek help for the guards, but before he could open the door, everything becomes pitch and black.

The emperor arrived in the castle with his armies, and the first thing he wanted see is no other than Baekhyun.

Chanyeol went to his chamber eagerly, to see his precious treasure. He can't wait to eat him and devour him mercilessly. But just as he opened the door, all his hope were thrown into deep fury and rage, when saw Baekhyun laying on the bed weakly and unconsciously.

"What happened" he spoke, his tone is as cold as the freezing ice, dangerous like a volcano that could erupt anytime soon. The maids shivered in fear, as they're in charge of taking care of Baekhyun.

"H-he s-s-suddenly collapsed, I-Imperial Majesty" Neng stuttered, her heart filled  with fear and guilt. She knew where this would be going.

"Didn't I told you, to take a good care of him?" He said sternly, and Neng only nodded her head.

"Then why was this happen!?" He yelled loudly, scaring all the servants who were present in the chamber.

"I apologize for my irresponsibility, Imperial Majesty. I would take any form of punishment for my..." Neng could not even finish her words when Chanyeol suddenly pulled out his sword, and slashes her throat.

Blood spewed on everyone's faces, even on the unconscious Baekhyun.

"Clean this mess" the emperor commanded, before wiping his bloody sword using the servants dress.
