Mazora-7 was the golden child of Guardians. He was known to be the most powerful of any blessed with Light, and defeated many gods including Oryx, Crota, Aksis, and Atheon. But after his fight with Aksis, he took Gate-4 under his wing as an apprentice. Mazora taught Gate everything there was to know about being a Guardian, and made Gate into one of the greatest Hunters to ever live.

But much later, Mazora's best friend, Peter, murdered him after being possessed by the Darkness. Gate avenged Mazora by killing Peter back. Gate then took on the mantle of Chosen and continued the fight against the Darkness.

During his time "dead", Mazora was transported to a mysterious realm, where he had to fight off creatures and ghosts of his past to be reincarnated. Mazora was the only one who could've done this as nobody was strong enough in the Light as him, but it was at the cost of his Ghost, Luna and he was only able to do it one time.

After the events of Beyond Light, Mazora reintroduced himself to Gate and together they fought various forces of Darkness. Now, after Gate's death, Mazora vows to avenge Gate, no matter the cost.
