(Takes place between Destiny 2: My Way and Destiny 2: My Way (Part 2))

Ikora walked into Gate's room, as he was still holding on from the machinery, but it was inevitable he was going to die.

"Gate." Ikora greeted him. Gate had gunshot wounds all around his chest, and his jaw was torn open.

"You came all this way?" Gate coughed up alittle.

"I wanted you to tell me your will, what you wanted to give your loved ones before the end."

"Hard to see that it's actually the end. I failed poor Bramble." Gate looked up at Ikora, causing Ikora to drop a tear.

"Well, here goes."

-DAYS LATER-

Mazora walked into the courtyard holding Ace of Spades and placed it on Gate's chest. This was a new event Ikora wanted to do for fallen heroes of the Light, and Gate was the first one. Millions of Guardians were there to watch.

Ikora walked up next Mazora and opened up a scroll. She read it aloud:

"These are Gate-4's final requests for his fireteam and his final message:"

"To Mazora-7: I have to admit, I was impressed that you were able to bring yourself back to life, however you did it. I kind wish now I asked how you did it, I could use that now. Thank you, Mazora, for being there for me and getting me out of that damned clan. I give you my Ace of Spades, cast down from one legend to another."

"To Delilah: Oh Delilah, if only I was fast enough to save you. I never forgave myself for that day yknow. But now we'll be together, like we wished.

"To Crow: I'm happy I was able to get you out of that bug's hellhole of a hideout. If there's anything I ask of you, it's to Be Brave. You can have my helmet, Celestial Nighthawk.

"To Kaira: I know you're out there, and I know you will listen to this eventually. Get away from Mara, she's not to be trusted. Come to Mazora, he'll set you up for redemption. He did so to me. Take my Huckleberry, it's a great smg, it think it suits you."

There was more, which took a couple of hours, as Gate liked to ramble on and on. Halfway through though, Mazora had to walk away and take a moment.
