"Sorry, not so." Mazora placed down another card on the table inside of H.E.L.M. He, Osiris, and Eris Morn were playing a card game, as there was nothing to do besides that.
"Damn Warlocks." Eris said, placing down another card.
"Big girl words." Osiris said to Eris, chuckling.
"If Mazora was not so stubborn as he used to be, this would be more enjoyable."
Saladin walked into the H.E.L.M and saw the trio playing more cards, as they have done so before.
"What the hell are you doing?!" Saladin yelled as he stomped towards them. Eris picked up her orb and held it close.
"It's not what it looks like, Saladin." Mazora told him.
"The Darkness could attack us at any minute, and you choose to play games?!"
"I would know if the Darkness were to attack Saladin, so would Eris over there." Mazora pointed back at Eris, who was standing there caressing her ball. Mazora, Saladin, and Osiris just stared at her while she did so.
"What?" Eris walked away, confused.
"Where are your proteges?" Saladin asked Mazora, but it was more of a command.
"In the EDZ, Devrim spotted some wierdo walking around the Shard of the Traveler."
"Shouldn't you be doing something more important then?"
"Nothing important is going on." Mazora and Saladin walked towards the Prismatic Recaster, and Mazora tossed a Umbral Engram into it.
"Why not try and find Savathun?" Saladin asked.
"I've tried multiple times, were just going to have to wait."
Saladin walked away as Mazora walked back over to the war table. Mazora looked out the big window at the Traveler.
"We could really use your help right now, big guy."
Meanwhile, on Earth, Crow and Kaira were headed towards the church, where Devrim has been for the last 3 years, to discover more about this mysterious fellow lurking around the Shard.
"Ah. The two proteges." Devrim said, pulling out some tea.
"So you saw a guy walking around the shard?" Kaira asked Devrim.
"Yes, yes. He seemed to be trying to study the energy surrounding it and also getting dangerously close."
"Does he look dangerous?" Crow asked.
"I couldn't tell. He seemed to have wrapped himself with something, looking like a mummy. Could be trying to hide his identity."
"Looks like something worth checking out." Kaira told Crow.
And so, Kaira and Crow set off towards the Shard of the Traveler. When they got to the infamous field where the smaller shard lay, they found a lot of dead Fallen, in a pile, surrounded by a string of flames leading to bonfires. Clearly, it was unnatural.
"What the hell." Kaira said.
"Well, at least we know it's something worth coming out here for." Crow looked at Kaira awkwardly, expecting her to laugh like she usually did when he cracked a joke. Instead, Kaira gave him a look and walked over the flames to the smaller Shard, where a logo had been engraved into it. The logo resembled a phoenix.
"Wait. I've seen this before." Kaira said. She rubbed her hand along it, but it didn't burn.
Mazora stood there for a couple more hours, looking at the Traveler and the Last City. As he did, something flew past the window. It was so fast Mazora couldn't tell exactly what it was. Mazora, feeling uneasy, walked over to where he could look at the cameras to identify this creature, but when he approached the screens, the power shut off.
