Kaira was originally a pawn of Mara Sov's, a cog in the machine, and just known as a mercenary among the Guardians. After aiding Mazora in his reincarnation, Kaira met Gate and began a hate/love relationship with him. The two worked and messed around together, occasionally helping Mazora and Gate's own apprentice, Aaron, save the world. 

Kaira was forced to stay with Mara as Gate and Mazora left Mara, as Mazora began to realize they were being used by Mara. 

After Gate's death by the hands of Shin Malphur, Kaira met with Mazora, wanting to help the fight against whatever threatened the city, as thats what Gate would've wanted her to do. She now goes on operations with The Crow, a very close friend of hers.
