THE DAYS Following the tragedy in Lago's were rough for everyone, the two girls in particular. They took it one day at a time though, slowly but surely trying to act normal.

However, the day Tony Stark returned to the facility surprised everyone. The visitor he brought however, shocked them beyond belief.

Upon hearing that Tony and the Secretary of State had requested a meeting with the team she stood quickly. Nearly sprinting to the briefing room where Vision had told her they were.

She saw most of the team there already, taking a seat beside Pietro as Wanda entered silently, being the last to join taking her seat beside Hadley.

The two girls make brief eye contact, worry clouding their vision as to what this meeting could be about. But they don't have time to ponder over it as Secretary Ross begins speaking as they are all settled.

"Five years ago, I had a heart attack. I dropped right in the middle of my back-swing. Turned out it was the best round of my life, because after 13 hours of surgery and a triple bypass. I found something 40 years in the Army had never taught me, perspective. The world owes the Avengers an un-payable debt. You have fought for us, protected us, risked your lives—but while a great many people see you as heroes, there are some who would prefer the word 'vigilantes'." The girl can't help the small scoff that escapes her lips.

Sure they had made a mess with these battles, but if they weren't willing to fight for their world then there would be a lot more death. "And what word would you use, Mr. Secretary?" Natasha speaks up with a quirk of her brow, earning everyone's attention.

"How about 'dangerous'? What would you call a group of US-based, enhanced individuals who routinely ignore sovereign borders and inflict their will wherever they choose and who, frankly, seem unconcerned about what they leave behind?" While he does have a fair point the girl can't help but find herself become enraged at his assumption.

Her hand tightens into a fist on her leg as he activated the screen behind him to show news footage. "New York." She sees the wreckage from the alien attack all those years ago. Guns being fired and the Hulk breaking anything in his path. Then he clicks once again switching the screen.

"Washington DC." She sees the helicarries on fire in the air as the camera switches to a helicopter being submerged in water. The wave engulfing many citizens and even the camera man. "Sokovia." Her jaw clenches at the footage. The crumbling city rising in the air as building fall and citizens cry.
