"welcome back to the team."

SHE COULDN'T Comprehend the woman standing before her, couldn't make sense of this situation in her mind. No valid arguments or solutions coming to mind.

"Mom?" Tears dance in her eyes as she watches her mother's movements, stoic and almost robotic.

The woman doesn't make any more steps, her face remaining blank as she simply stares at the girl before her. It was as if she had no idea who she was.

She wasn't thinking rationally. If she took a step back she'd understand that it was all HYDRA. They did exactly what they had done to Bucky.

Wiped his memories, conditioned him, trained him to be who they wanted him to be. They had done the same to her mother.

But she couldn't see that at the moment because all she saw was her mother. The woman she had been missing for years. The woman she grieved over every day and night. The woman who raised her to be the strong woman she herself is today. She saw her role model, her mother.

But deep down she knew this wasn't the woman who raised her. This was a woman following orders, orders they weren't aware of yet.

She raises her arm, a finger pointing towards her daughter as a grimace forms on her wrinkling face. "Target acquired."

Her eyes widen as she sees her mother begin advancing, "Mom please don't." But the woman doesn't listen, she doesn't care. In her mind this wasn't her own flesh and blood, the girl was just an unfinished mission.

Pietro tries to speed them out of there, he really does. He grabs the girl quickly ready to race past her mother, but she sees it coming.

Seeing the blue blur form she sticks her arm out quickly, making contact with his throat in a matter of seconds.

This sends him flying back, the girl tumbling from his arms and to the ground. He coughs violently as he feels the damage done and the pain spreading.

She glances his way from her own spot on the ground, and though she wants to go to him she focuses on the problem at hand. "Momma-" She tries again to plead but her mother doesn't listen.

She stalks towards her daughter, the stoic expression painted back on her face. Her fist raises, but the girl is faster.

Raising her hands she sends a wave the woman's way, knocking her back a bit. This doesn't do much to slow her down though as she back up in a matter of seconds, charging once again.
