"what is it?"

THE TWO Spent the night simply enjoying each other's company. They ate their food, laughing as Pietro made a mess, and watched her favorite movie Someone Great.

The boy constantly made criticisms of the movie, "She is such a bad friend!" But Hadley constantly had a rebuttal to defend the main character, "She was heartbroken!"

"And? She's the one who's leaving!" He felt very strongly about the story line, but she simply laughed at him. "If you ask me i'm glad he broke up with her."

"Really?" She asks, glancing to him from her seat on the opposite side of the couch. "Yes. She had never had any real heartbreak like that, so she came out stronger than she was, and grew closer with those that were more important to her in the process."

Silently she nods, taking the final sip from her glass of wine before deciding it was time to call it a night.

She begins to clean but Pietro holds a hand out, stopping her immediately, "I have got it, you get some rest." Scoffing she shakes her head once again, refusing to not help.

They pick their plates up and move to the kitchen silently, the exhaustion from the day creeping up on them quickly.

She began to notice his sluggish poster and dragging feet as he cleans the remainder of the living room, dragging the blanket and pillow from the chair to make his makeshift bed.

She cringes at the sight, knowing the stiff couch can't be that comfortable. Rubbing his eyes he unfolds the blanket, preparing to lay down and finally rest.

Sure the couch wasn't very comfortable per say, but it was a place to sleep and that was more than he could ask for.

However without thinking she blurts out the statement, "You can sleep in the bed if you want tonight?" She swore his neck would snap if he turned to her any quicker.

Seeing the boy become a stuttering mess she speaks again, "I can take the couch, you probably need a break anyways right?"

"No, Hadley I am not letting you give up your own bed." And he turns back to continue making up his bed, but like Mark said she's tough.

"Then we can stay in the bed together, put a pillow between us like a wall?"

It took some convincing but he finally agreed, and Hadley found herself putting a single pillow between the two, hoping it would cease the awkwardness.
