[Chapter 29]
"Dariel was a sweet and innocent child. Whenever he sees me, he would always run and shout 'Granny!' like he didn't saw me for years." Nakangiting pagkukwento ng Ina ni Darwin sa mga bisita.
Everyone from the family was busy. All of them was taking care of the guests. Even Darwin, he was talking to someone about his son's burial. They were all busy to the point they forgot about someone.
"I'll go check Ate upstairs." Chelsey told her Mother.
"Bring this to her." Her mother handed her a hot soup in a small bowl. Tumango si Chelsey bago ito tumayo at kinuha ang bowl sa kamay ng ina.
'Ate must be really tired, i hope she'll be okay soon.' She said in her mind while heading the door of her sister.
"Ate?" Pagtawag niya nang buksan ang pinto. She was a bit hesitant to enter the room, baka kasi tulog pa ito at maistorbo niya.
She opened the door but her brows twitch instantly when she saw the bed empty. Mabilis niyang inilibot ang tingin sa buong kwarto pero nabigo siyang hanapin ang kapatid. Dahil dito ay tuluyan na siyang lumapit at inilapag ang hawak na bowl sa maliit na lamesita ng kwarto.
"Ate? Naliligo ka ba?" Malakas na tanong niya dahil kung naliligo man ang kapatid ay hindi siya maririnig nito dahil sa malakas na tunog ng tubig.
Mula sa pagkakatitig sa pinto ng banyo ay bumaba ang tingin niya sa sahig. Her body suddenly became cold when she saw the water spilling on the floor.
"ATE!" She shouted in panic. Mabilis niyang tinakbo ang banyo at pinihit ang doorknob but it's locked.
"Ate! Ate open the door!" Naghihisterikal na sigaw niya habang walang tigil sa paghampas ng pinto.
Patakbong lumabas siya ng kwarto habang malakas ang pagsigaw, "KUYA DARWIN! MAMA!"

"Mommy look! It's cloudy, is it going to rain today?" My son asked me while looking on the glass window of my car. He was too mesmerized by the shady sky.
"Yes, i think."
"Can we ligo in the rain, Mommy?" I chuckled.
"Can we what?"
"Ligo. Like wooosh!" Natawa ako nang banatin niya ang mga braso at ishake ang mga kamay para magmukha itong ulan.
"No baby. We can't because this is the first day of the rain." I said, making his lips long because of pouting.
"Why Mommy?"
"Because first day of the rain brings illness such as Fever and cold. We can do it tomorrow."
"But what if there's no rain tomorrow?" Nilingon ko siya nang magpula ang stop light.
"Aw kawawa naman ang baby na iyan." I teased.
"Eh! Mommy!"
My eyes became wide opened. All i can see was the familiar ceiling of my room. I stared on it for a few minutes before getting up from the soft and comfy bed. My mind was blank and my eyes became wider when i saw a glimpse of a silhouette sitting beside me.
"Dariel?" Pagtawag ko rito but i don't see anyone. Nag umpisang manginig ang mga kamay ko dahil unti unti nanamang nanlalabo ang paningin ko dahil sa mga luha.
'If Dariel kiss Mommy's wound then the pain will shoo away Mommy!'
"Y-yes baby. Mommy is hurt, c-come back to Mommy." My heart is aching like it was about to crush in any moment. My eyes are hurting and my head too.
