"Nothing is so common as the wish to be remarkable" - William Shakespeare

"As you guys know, we've been working on the case of 'The Replicator'. I know we usually don't like to give our unsubs a name, but this was inevitable." Hotch said as he motioned to Garcia.

"Since this case has started, he has killed a total of 6 people," Penelope started, "attempted 7, killed 5 by proxy, and stalked 1 person. He targeted Erin Strauss for a reason, and now we know why." Penelope stopped and looked at y/n. Everyone else did the same.

You looked visibly uncomfortable, you looked around the room when your eyes focused on Reid. He looked like he wanted to just get up and yell at you for being so shy. Seeing that look on his stupid face gave you the confidence that you needed to speak up. "Before I was transferred into the BAU, I was just a regular agent. I was hesitant when told I was probably going to be transferred here. As I know I would have had to work with Erin at times, but I have worked hard to get here, so I wasn't going to give it up because of her. Erin and I both worked the Amerithrax case. She made something up about me that got me under review by my superiors. That hadn't left us on the best terms, but on no account did I hate her." You sighed then continued. "What she said only held me back a little bit, there was a certain person who was transferred away, then back. He said he had used my pen to sign his transfer. I should have connected the dots sooner. His name is John Curtis." You went to continue when Spencer cut you off.

"He used an alias though, Adam Worth. Adam Worth was a career criminal in the 1800's. Since he used that alias, it suggests that he iden-" You cut him off, not wanting to hear his ratty little voice. You continued as you had before.

"-identifies himself as a similar master criminal and wants to paint himself out as the worst enemy the team has ever had, being a malignant narcissist." You finished, feeling Spencer's gaze on you, but not looking at him.

Hotch looked between the two of you before continuing, "Alright Garcia, find out everything you can about John Curtis, but remember to keep your door closed and locked. We cannot have him know that we are on to him, if he knows, he'll most likely back down for the time being. Y/l/n and Reid, I want you guys to work together to figure out where he might be hiding out. Prentiss and Morgan, I want you guys to look to see if there are any other crimes or murders that we don't know about. JJ, I need you to keep and eye on the public. He just killed a federal agent, press will be all over it. Dave your with me." Hotch finished his part as he furrowed his brows. "Any questions?"

Everyone shook their heads. Though you did, you had a question. Why did you have to work with the one person you despise? Did you do something bad, and Hotch is punishing you now? You both know best not to argue with Hotch. "All right. Get to work."

Everyone stood up as they went to work. Leaving you alone with Reid in the conference room. You decided you were going to play nice, just to get the work done quicker. Besides, He hadn't really said anything to you to make you mad. Just as you thought you were going to get away with no bickering, Spencer spoke.

"You know, cutting people off is extremely disrespectful." He sighed.

"Then you probably shouldn't have done it to me first." You spat.

He looked at you for a split second, it was a look you didn't recognize coming from him. Friendship. He looked at you like you were his friend. You wanted to be his friend when you first joined the team, but he made it clear that it was not his intention. He hated you ever since you joined, you had no idea why.

You woke up early. It was your first day as a profiler in the BAU. You have worked so hard for this opportunity, ever since your incident with Erin. You were nervous, but excited to start this new chapter in your life. You got ready, putting on a pair of fitted jeans, a basic black top, and your black converse. You then quickly went through your regular morning. On your out of your door, you grabbed your gun, badge, purse, and a go-bag just in case you had a case.

You got to your car and got in, ready for your day. Your drive to the office went slow, you didn't know if it was because of your blood rushing through your body with nerves, or if it was just the traffic. You pulled into the parking lot, shaking with anticipation.

You got out of your car and started to walk in the front doors of the FBI. When you walked in, the realization hit you. Your now part of a team. A team that you know takes care of each other no matter what. From this day on, you had to be prepared for anything and everything you are going to see, or experience.

Once you decided you were actually ready, you walked over to the elevator. You stepped in and pressed 'floor 6'. You silently rode the elevator up to the sixth floor. When you got off, you saw a colorful, blonde woman standing there. She immediately started walking over to you, her arms out ready for an embrace.

You hugged her, as she pulled away, she began to speak, "Hi! You must be the new agent. Y/n Y/l/n? It's great to meet you. Here, follow me and I'll take you to the boss man. Oh! By the way, I'm Penelope Garcia, all things great and wonderful about the world of computers." You chuckled. She started walking towards what you could only assume was SSA Aaron Hotchner's office. You did your research because you wanted to be prepared.

As you followed Penelope, the rest of the team looked at you from their desks. You gave them all a polite smile as you continued walking. You walked up the stairs to Agent Hotchner's office, Penelope told you go inside and not to be nervous. You walked into his office, he looked at you and you walked over to his desk as he motioned for you to step inside. You shook his hand gently , and sat down.

"I'm Agent Hotchner, but you can just call me Hotch. We just got back from a case so we don't currently have one, but if we do, I suspect you already have a go-bag ready?" You nodded. You and Hotch talked about the formalities of the job, when he was done, he paused, then spoke again. "Now, I believe it's time to introduce you to the rest of the team. Follow me." So you stood up when he did, and you followed him back down the stairs into the main office. You saw Penelope and she smiled at you.

"These are Agents Derek Morgan, Emily Prentiss, Jennifer Jareau, David Rossi, and Dr. Spencer Reid." You waved at them all while Hotch spoke again, "Everyone, this is Agent Y/n Y/l/n."

Everyone immediately came up to you and started to talk to you.

"Hey, it's great to meet you y/n. You just call me JJ."

"Hey pretty girl, nice to meet you, Derek." He says as he shakes your hand.

"Amazing to meet you. I'm Emily."

"Hey kiddo, nice to meet you. I've heard a lot of great things. Call me Dave."

You noticed one person who didn't look too happy to see you. It was Spencer. He was leaning against his desk, staring directly at you. You decided to shake the feeling of his gaze because the rest of the team was trying to talk to you. Spencer never said a word to you, and you didn't know why.

You decided to shake the look that Spencer had given you, as you didn't want to look to deep into it. You and Spencer hadn't come up with an idea. So you kept working until Hotch came in and told you guys to go home, to get some rest. So you both packed up your stuff and left. When you stepped out of the elevator, everything was normal. You walked out to your car when you suddenly got hit hard. You fell to the ground, you reached up to touch your forehead, it was warm. You were bleeding. A lot. You went to look up at who hit you, when you felt another strike blow down on you. You're out cold.
