"All sins tend to be addictive. And the terminal point of addiction is damnation." — W.H. Auden
You had no idea how you could face Spencer now. So you weren't. You made it your ultimate goal to avoid Spencer the rest of this case. Your plan worked for a solid 10 minutes before Hotch decided to put you and Spence together during the case. You listened to Hotch as he explained what everyone was supposed to be doing. When Aaron was done talking, you looked up at Spencer. You realized that he had been staring at you for a while now. You didn't know what to do. You ended up sticking your eyes to the ground. You knew Emily was looking at you too. You knew that the whole team heard what you said. Once you were able to peel your eyes off of the cement, you got into the car with Spencer. Your job at the moment was to go back to the local police station. You set up a geographical profile based on the areas where the previous victims were taken and found. You were about to call Hotch when you heard one of the police officers turn on the TV.
'Detective William LaMontagne Jr. had come down from New Orleans to identify the body of one of the victims. The victim was a friend, and co-worker to LaMontagne . At first, he was confused because the unsub was killing gay men. The fact that he was killing gay men made the BAU team think he was unable to come out on his own, or he was taught to believe that being gay is wrong. So when he realized that he has certain feeling towards men when they approach him, he gets conflicted and kills them. LaMontagne's friend, Charles Luvet, had lied to his wife about the reason he going to Miami.'
You looked at Spencer, both of you had worry dripping off of your face. You have to call Hotch, now.You hear his deep, serious voice answer, "Hotchner."
"Hey Hotch, it's Y/l/n. The news got a hold of the story. They know about Luvet."
"Hold a private conference immediately. Anyone who has the story, tell them not to release it. If the unsub hears that we know about his victims, he could go dormant."
" Yes, sir."
As soon as you hung up, Spencer looks at you, ready for the next step.
"We need to set up a private conference with anyone who could have the story."
He nodded and started to make calls to the news stations. The woman you saw on the TV came in. You pulled her aside before the conference.
"Hi, I'm Agent Y/n Y/l/n with the Behavioral Analysis Unit of the FBI. I would like to ask you a few questions."
"Yeah, okay."
"Okay so, how exactly did you get the story? Especially those details about Luvet."
"I saw it on my desk, it was in an envelope. The letter was typed out. I only told the story on the news because the envelope said that it was from the police station. There wasn't a specific name. It just said 'police station'."
"Okay and I only have one more thing I need before the conference. I know you have cameras at your station. We need to see them."
"Of course. We can head over there after the conference."
"Alright, thank you for your cooperation."
The woman nodded before she walked into the conference room. You walked in after her with Spencer behind you. You could feel Spencer's eyes on the back of your head, but you decided to ignore it. As you walk in the room, you felt everyone's eyes on you, and suddenly you forgot about Spencer looking at you.
