!!!TW: throwing up, dry heaving, not eating!!!

"The farther backward you can look, the farther forward you can see."- Winston Churchill

Everyone kept to what you said. Don't talk about it. You were happy that everyone was ready to respect what you wanted. Even Hotch. You thought he was going to tell you to take the case off. The last thing you wanted to do was stop working. Work was the only thing that was taking your mind off of what happened only hours before.

You felt Spencer look over to you multiple times. Even sometimes, you would sit back in your chair and admire the team that you get the opportunity to work with. You thought about how much you all have grown while knowing each other. How you spent multiple nights with the girls. Talking, painting nails, gossiping, which was mostly Penelope, but you all listened anyways. You and Hotch would go on jogs together some days before work. He would tell you all about Hailey, and when he was comfortable enough, he even told you about her death. How it linked to a case from before you joined. Sometimes whenever Hotch would go out with someone, or just needed a night alone, you would babysit Jack. Jack was a good kid as long as he was entertained. He was quite young when Hailey died, so all he can remember was Hotch telling him to hide, the funeral, and then not seeing his mom again. He understands that he'll never see her again, but their not sure that he knows why for certain.

Spencer. No matter what you end up thinking about, Spencer is always one of the topics. When your sleeping, he's there. When your eating, he's there. When your doing anything, he's there. He's always there, no matter what. Little do you know, your always there for him too. It's hard to think about anything without him being in your mind.

Penelope tried to leave the topic of it alone, but it was hard. You could tell that all she wanted to do was bring it up. So you let her. You still don't know if it was a good idea bringing it all up so soon, but it was for Penelope.

"You can talk to me about it you know Y/n."

"I know I can. It's just one of those things that's hard to talk about."

"I understand, do you want to talk about it?"

"Not exactly. Sorry, Pen. Just not right now. I will be able to eventually."

"You don't have to apologize! I completely understand."

You were relieved when she didn't try to push you to talk. Don't get me wrong, you love Penelope just as much as the next person, but sometimes she just doesn't know how to drop topics. Especially topics that you don't exactly want to talk about.

You tried your best to work on the case with no other distractions, and you managed to be doing just that pretty well.

As you and the team started to get more into the case, you guys found some more details that you didn't see the first time you looked at it. You really wanted to figure out who it is that could be doing all of this, so you kept a pretty close eye on any activity that could possibly be the unsub. After looking over the case details once again, you finally made the connection. The unsubs name was Billy Flynn.

Once you knew who the unsub was you had called Penelope to get some more information on him. The team listened to Penelope's voice ring through the room while she gave you everything she could find. She told you about his childhood, his mom, his first crimes and way more.

After hanging up the phone with Penelope, the team begins to talk about where he could be. They talk for a while, still not able to find anything on his location. One of the officers walks in the room and tells them that there was a call for an abandoned RV on the side of the road. It has also now been said that he has taken a little girl, Ellie. Ellie is the daughter of Matt Spicer, who is a detective for the LAPD. He became a detective because at a young age, his parents were killed by Flynn. Flynn took Ellie because he feels responsible for her existence because if he had killed Matt, she wouldn't have been born.
