"The world is so unpredictable. Things happen suddenly, unexpectedly. We want to feel we're in control of our own existence. In some ways we are, in some ways we aren't. We are ruled by the forces of chance and coincidence." - Paul Auster

After you pushed your last thoughts aside, you realized that someone else was in your room. You reached for your gun when they turned around. It was just Penelope.

"Whoa! Penn don't scare me like that!"

"Don't scare you? Should I not mention the fact that you just came from the doctors room? Also, I know you didn't sleep here last night either because the bed is untouched."

"Are you... profiling me? Don't you "hate profilers?"

"That is besides the point y/n! What were you and boy genius doing in there? I know it was not chess." She said with a wink as she finished her sentence.

"Oh my, Penn."

She just giggled at your shocked expression. You were at a loss for words until a new thought came into your head.

"Wait, how did you even get in here? I'm the only one with a key to this room."

"Are you sure?" She said with a smirk.

"You got a key to my room? How?"

"A girl's gotta flirt when she has to."

You smiled at her, still kind of surprised that she wouldn't just call.

"Well, what were you doing?"

"We didn't do anything Penn!" You laughed. "We just hung out. We agreed that we don't want to fight or bicker, what ever it is, we don't want to do it anymore. We know that it puts all of you in an uncomfortable position. I'm not promising anything, but on my behalf, I'll try to stop annoying him... on purpose."

Penelope laughed at your humor. You heard a knock at your door. You walked over and opened it to see Dave.

"Hey kiddos, we're leaving in 10 minutes. You two better stop gossiping and get out here." He smiled and walked away. You turned toward Penelope and you burst into a fit of laughter. When the laughing died down a little, she began to help you pack your stuff.

When you and Penelope finished packing, you walked outside to see everyone else waiting for you. You looked up blinded by the sun. You put your hand up to block the sun, when you did so, you saw Spencer standing there. Something about the way he was looking at you, made you feel loved. She smiled at you, making your heart flutter and your breath hitch. Penelope noticed the way you were looking at each other. Before anyone else could notice, she lightly elbowed you in the side. You looked away from Spencer, only to see Penelope have a 'I-told-you-so' look on her face. You rolled your eyes jokingly and stepped on the jet.

Spencer decided to sit next to you on the jet. As the jet took off, he pulled a book out of his bag and started to read. You never realized before, but it is crazy how fast he can read. He looked up at you from his book.

"Why are you staring?" He asked with a smirk.

"I don't know what you're talking about." You were, in fact, staring. You just didn't realize you were until he said something.
