Quidditch Captain (6.2)

(Harry POV)

I sat in potions class reading my book. The person who wrote these was a genius. Slughorn was now under the impression that me and y/n were naturals. Well he at least thought i was. Because she was doing it all on her own. 

"Today we will be making another potion." I heard him say. Although i was hardly listening.

"Harry page 37." Y/N whispered to me.

I nodded and turned to the page. 

I went to the cabinet and got out me and y/ns supplies.

We were told to work with a partner.

Y/n began brewing while i read through some directions.

"You're really obsessed with that book aren't you?" She asked wrapping her hand around my torso and leaning on my shoulder while we waited for the potion to brew.

"I'm not." I said as i continued reading.

"Can you just put the book down for the rest of class so we can have a fun couple time?" She asked. I sighed and put the book down and smiled at her.

"Why do you need a book when you have a whole encyclopedia standing next to you?" She asked pointing to Hermonie.

Hermonie crinkled her nose.

I laughed and added some Morning dew to our potion. 

"What are we making again?" I asked her.

"Beautification potion." She said adding some more morning dew.

"You dont need any of that." I told her.

She smiled and hugged the side of me.

I read the instructions.

Grind the wings of three fairies and add to cauldron.Stir slowly, and then add morning dew.Stir vigorously, then heat the mixture.Find a single fresh rose. ...Chop the dried Lady's Mantle and add to cauldron, then stir.Add a lock of unicorn hair and stir vigorously.Add powdered ginger root and then heat.Wave your wand over the cauldron.

The person in my book hadn't crossed off any of this so i assumed it was correct.

I waved my wand over the potion and waited for Slughorn. 

"This is absolutely incredible you two! 10 points to Griffindor and you guys both get A's!"

(Y/N POV)

I walked down to the quidditch field with Hermonie.

"I'm nervous." I said. Hermonie barely noticed.

"Do you think Ron will get on the team?" She asked ignoring me.

"I think he will!" I said which wasn't entirely a lie. Ron was a fair keeper. But McLaggen was trying out. And McLaggen is, scary. To say the least. 

"Everyone who is trying out line up please." Harry called out. Me and Ron were the only ones listening

"Okay, so this morning, I'm gonna be putting you all for a few drills just to assess you straight. Quiet, please!" Harry said

"Shut it!" Ginny yelled. I smiled at her and she smiled back.

"Thanks. Alright, um, now then, remember, just because you made the team last year does not guarantee you a spot this year. Is that clear? Good." Harry said.

"No hard feelings, Weasley, alright?" Cormac said to Ron.

"Hard feelings?" Ron asked him. I walked over.

"Hi boys." I said.

"Well hello to you." Cormac said well looking me up and down.

"She has a boyfriend, so dont bother her." Ron said pulling me away from him. I smiled a smile of gratitude at him.

"You?" He asked.

"No, no not me Harry." Ron replied.

"Yeah, whatever. Anyways I'll be going out for Keeper's, well, It's... nothing personal." He said.

"Really? Strapping guy like you? You've got more of a Beater's build, don't you think? Keepers need to be quick, agile." Ron said. I could tell he was nervous. 

"I'll have my chances." He said. I smiled at Ron and walked away. 

(Ron POV)

  "Say, um, you think you could introduce me to your friend, Black? Wouldn't mind, eh, getting on a first-hand base, you know what I mean?" Cormac said. 

I narrowed my eyes.

"I told you her and Harry are dating." 

"Not for long." he said as he walked off.

"Come on, come on. Go, Cormac. Come on, Ron!" The crowds yelled. I grumbled.

I soared upwards and hit every one. Cormac had only it 4. That meant i was most likely the Keeper. 

I put my feet on the ground and Y/N ran over. She pulled me into a tight hug.

"You did it Ron! You did so good! !" She smiled. 

"Well now its your turn." I told her.

She bit her nails. She only did that when she was nervous. 

"You'll do great." I said smiling at her.

She smiled and turned to go get ready. 

I then saw a girl with blonde hair run over.

"You did so great Ron! You really did i knew you would be the best!" I recognized the girl as Lavender Brown.

"Tha-thanks." I said.

(Harry POV)

Ginny and Katie Bell had already made the team. 

They didn't know yet but their scores were fantastic.

Now it was Y/n V.s Delezma Robins. 

I was hoping y/n would make the team. But Delezma was great too.

I watched as they soared through the sky.

As they came back down it was obvious who was the clear winner. Y/N Had crushed Delezma. But i didn't want to be too harsh. 

"Okay, Ill be back in 20 with results." I told them as i walked off.

(Y/N POV)

I nervously awaited Harry's decision. 

When i finally saw him coming back i started to bite my nails.

"Okay so i have the results, As seeker it is obviously me, Our beaters are Jimmy Peakes, and Ritchie Coote." There was cheers around us.

"Keeper is Ron Weasley." I beamed at Ron and gave him a hug.

"And our chasers are Katie Bell, Ginny Weasley, and Y/N Black." Cheers blasted around us. 

Harry smiled at me.

"Substitutes are Dean and Cormac. You may go."

I grinned. It was going to be a fun year.
