I walked to my locker to grab my science books.

"Well, well, well...here you are," Derek said. "Please, just leave me alone. What did I ever do to you?" I questioned. He didn't answer. He punched me in the stomach. I hunched over holding it. Then, I blacked out. The last thing I heard was a voice yelling my name. I don't know for sure, but I think it was Crawford.

I woke up in the nurses office.

"You're awake! Are you alright?" She asked. "I think so," I said. "Alright. That's good. But I think I should let you know you have Asthma," she told me. "What?! How come this has never happened before?" I was very puzzled. "I don't know, Sweetie. I'm letting you go home early, though," she said, picking up the phone to call my mom.

Crawford came running in. He was out of breath like he had been running for a long time.

"Indigo! You're alright!" he exclaimed. Oh no. He saw everything. Why me?! Why? "Yes, but I have been told I have Asthma," I told him. He frowned. It wasn't a 'thats too bad' frown. It was like a 'I really do care. That's terrible' frown.

"Crawford?" "Yes?" "Why are you being so nice to me? We don't even really know each other," I asked. "Well, I would like to get to know you. Its not exactly easy for me to make friends either," he responded. No. I will not let him in. It's happened once. I can't let someone else in.

Before I could say anything, my mom walked through the doors. She took me home and then went back to work.
