CHAPTER 17
I blew my nose for the umpteenth time today and sighed. I had been stuck in my room for two days sick and it wasn't fun at all. I was feeling a little better but not much. Every so often, Zane would come to see how I was doing. He really was the best boyfriend ever. I smiled to myself at the thought of that. How did I get so lucky to get a guy like Zane.
I coughed and sighed. I might as well get my butt up off this bed and shower. It might help with my nose and I was feeling pretty nasty.
I got up and almost fell over, catching myself on my dresser. Stupid sick head.
I stripped and walked into my bathroom turning on the shower and hopping in. the warm water felt good on my back and it helped clear my sinuses a little.
When I was done, I wrapped a towel around myself and brushed my dirty blonde hair. I took a deep breath enjoying my clear nose while it lasted. I opened the bathroom door and almost screamed. Brody was sitting on my bed flipping through a magazine. He looked up at me and smiled
"Dang Delilah, you take long showers" he said and smirked
"Brody! You really need to stop just walking in like that! If I don't answer the door then come back later! What if I had been naked or something!?"
Brody opened his mouth but closed it and he looked like he was imagining something else...
"Brody!" I yelled knowing he was probably thinking about me being naked
He snapped out of it
"Sorry" he mumbled. "I'll stop but it has its advantages I mean what if I need to talk to you about something about the Affinity?"
"Well then you could wait instead of walking in when you just feel like it or if I don't answer the door or I'm in the shower or when Zane and I are kissing..." I trailed off
Brody looked hurt for a second
"Sorry, I didn't mean to, uh..." I said. I forgot Brody liked me, he was probably still getting over it
"No it's ok, it was my fault I walked in on that" he said frowning
"Brody, I'm sorry, you should have told me"
"No, no, it's ok" he said giving me a smile. "You like Zane and" he took an intake of air. "And I'm ok with that"
I smiled. "Well now you have to leave because I have to get dressed" I said walking over to him and pushing him towards the door
"Ok, I just came to bring you your homework, it's on the bed"
"Ok, thanks"
Brody left and I went to go change. I put on some sweats and a tight t-shirt then put my classes back on.
I sighed. There was no use in just staying in my room, I might as well go to the library. Maybe I could find some books on the school's history.
I grabbed my phone slipping it into my pocket and made my way to the library.
When I got there the lady at the desk looked up and smiled at me
"Hello dear, shouldn't you be in class?"
"Oh, no, I'm sick, I'm out of class until Monday, I just thought I would come to the library to get some of my homework done"
"Oh, well if you're sick shouldn't you be in bed resting?" she asked
"Well I have for two days and I'm feeling a little better and I needed to get out of my room for a while..."
"Oh well ok then dear, take all the time you need" she said and smiled
