CHAPTER 34
Zane, Brody and I walked to the meeting room. Zane was going to join and Brody was invisible so no one would see him.
We got to the room and I turned to face Zane
“Zane no matter what happens, no matter how much pain there is, I really am sorry for making you go through with this”
Zane grabbed my waist and pulled me to him
“There’s nothing to apologize for De. I would do anything for you even if it means going through this”
“Just in case” I whispered and pushed my lips on his and put my arms around his neck
We kissed each other passionately for a few minutes before pulling away to breathe
“I…” Zane panted. “Lo…”
“Delilah!” someone called
I turned away from Zane to see my grandma walking towards me
“Hey grandma” I said coldly
“I see you brought your…boyfriend” she said scanning Zane over
“I see you told Alexander” I spit back coldly
“I had to. You broke the rules and you deserved to be punished but I see he over looked it”
“Yes. He did, now if you excuse me, I have to go present my plan” I said and pulled Zane towards the entrance
I pressed my left wrist against the wall and it opened to reveal the door. We walked in and Alexander called me over
“Delilah, come here child!”
Zane and I walked over to him hand in hand
“I see you brought your boyfriend”
I nodded
“And you have your plan ready?”
“Yes”
“Wonderful, wonderful. Now, please have a seat next to my chair and we will proceed with the meeting”
Zane sat down in the chair and I sat in his lap
Alexander called the meeting to order
“Alright everyone, we have a new joiner with us today. Delilah, if you please?”
I stood up and brought and with me. I led him to the front of the table
“I’m so sorry Zane” I whispered and left him to go get the knife and flask
I brought them over and handed them to Alexander. I stepped back and hung my head down. A small tear fell down my face and I looked up out of the corner of my eye to see Zane getting on the table.
I had to close my eyes when I heard everyone start chanting. I could hear Zane grunting and panting trying not to scream and I felt like I was going to feint. I felt so awful for making Zane go through with all of this
The chanting stopped and I looked up. I saw Zane giving me a small smile. His wrist was bleeding and his eyes were watery but he was still giving me a smile
He mouthed ‘I’m ok’ at me and I tried to return his smile but it didn’t work that well
“Welcome to the Affinity Zane” said Alexander
Chills went down my spine and I walked up to Zane, taking his left hand in mine
He winced a little and I gave him a sympathetic smile
