Location: John's Flight(38,000 feet)

Twelve hours had passed since John departed from New Bostin. Reaching Wellston was not quite easy, considering the amount of planes he had to switch to reach his final destination.

He had boarded the last plane for Wellston, but according to the fly attendant's announcement, delays where to be expected.

Even if everything went smoothly, he wouldn't manage to reach Wellston in time. Although ,the so-called "delays" seemed rather sketchy. The plane he was primarily supposed to board, was forced to withdraw due to need of urgent "maintenance".

What are the chances?  The raven thought.

Of course, the possibility of Ember messing up with his flights was still on the table. After all, who knew how far their influence went?.

He had already tried dialing Arlo's and Elaine's number, but his phone seemed to be out of service.

Could they really block his phone? How did they even get his number?

Did they get it through Claire's phone?

He couldn't trust nobody. Any passenger could be one of Ember's cooperates sent to stall him. Sleeping seemed as an unreachable goal, considering the amount of adrenaline that flowed through his veins.

He felt like he was playing in a spy movie and he wasn't jubilant about it. In fact, he was rather pissed when he came to thought of his current situation.

For now,  he decided to occupy himself with a round of Angry Pigs while listening  to the rhythmic hum of the plane's motors.

Sera, please stay safe.

Location : Wellston

Being powerless isn't easy. Even if she used to believe the exact opposite, Seraphina could assure you, that being a cripple isn't a pleasant experience. In a world where power is the only thing that matters, being powerless haunts you for your entire life. No matter how hard you try, since you will still be someone for them to look down to.

Even if she normally shouldn't, Seraphina felt grateful for her "journey" despite that it was about to come to its closure. She was able to finally open her eyes and perceive the world as he did, all the way back then.

"The moment you fall, your so called 'classmates' will turn their backs on you, and show who they really are."

But today, everything would finally come to an end. She would finally het her abilities back. Perhaps,  she could finally bring change among Wellston, something that never really bothered her in the past.

She clenched her fists when she remembered how naïve she used to be. She had so many regrets about her way of living in the past.

She and John were friends for two years before he finally snapped. And all this time, she was completely blind to what he had to go through, to the amount of pain he had to suppress in order to put a happy façade, just for her.

And when their confrontation finally took place, both sides said things they didn't mean to. Both of them were equally hurt at the thought that someone they held so close, betrayed them. She couldn't blame herself completely, but she couldn't let him bear the mantle of responsibility alone either.
