Part 5

Chris gets out of his car and runs to the entryway of the hospital and Kate sees him and stands up in the waiting room.

Chris walks to her and says. "What's going on? Why is she here? How did this happen!?"

Kate says. "Chris, they said she passed out and then said she had a weak heart rate, they haven't told us more."

He looks at the front desk and then says as he looks back at Kate. "Can we go see her?"

Kate shakes her head and says. "They haven't said yet."

Chris walks up to the front desk and says. "Hi, I am Chris Evans, I am here to see if I can see Ashley Conner?"

The nurse says as she looks at him. "I am sorry Mr. Evans but you'll have to wait for the doctor,"

Chris says with more anger in his voice. "Her brother is the doctor, his name is Jake Conner!"

The nurse says. "Sir I need you to just wait for the doctor."

He walks away and Kate says as she looks at him. "Well?"

Chris shakes his head and says. "They want us to wait for the doctor to give us the update." He sits down and leans forward and says as he looks at the ER doors. "I need to know she is okay, just something."

Kate sits down by him and says. "I am sure she is okay, her father was there when we were."

Chris looks at kate and says. "What? Did he hurt her?"

Kate says. "I don't think so, she walked to us and then passed out and her father ran to her soi told him too..um, fuck off?"

Chris grins and says. 'Whoa, Kate who knew you had a bad side!"

Kate slaps his arm and says. "My hubby knows" she sighs and she shakes her head and says as she looks at the doors. "I hope she is okay."

Chris nods and says. "Me too."

Jake walks out and says as Chris walks to him. "She is okay, She was dehydrated and we are giving her iv fluids to help her out."

Chris says as he looks at Jake. "Can I see her?"

Jake nods and says. "Sure."

Kate says. "I can see her later, I think she needs her guy right now." Chris looks at her and nods saying with a smile. "Thank you."

They walk through the doors and Jake says. " And I think it's stress too, I mean she had a weak heart rate and her blood pressure was through the roof."

Chris says as they walk around a corner of the hallway. 'I think she needs a break from the wedding prep, I might help her the rest of the way."

Jake says as they stand by her hospital room door. "I think she needs that."

They walk in and Ashley is asleep and Chris takes a deep breath when he walks up to her bed and he holds her hand that is cold.

Chris says as he looks at Jake. "Is she okay being cold?"

Jake walks to the bed and checks her vitals and says. "I think the blanket is on her enough."

Chris covers her up and kisses her head and Jake says. "I'll let you stay here for a bit, let me know if she wakes up."

Chris sits down and nods. Jake leaves the room and Chris looks at Ash and says in a low tone. "I hope you can hear me, darling, I just wanted to let you know that I am right here, I am not leaving you..not for a minute."

She moves her finger a bit and Chris looks at her again and she opens her eyes and he says as he leans over her with a smile. "Hey, Baby." She blinks and says. "Chris?"
