What About Us?

Part 21

Chris looks at Ashley who is sound asleep in his arms and he smiles. Dodger jumps on the bed and Ashley opens her eyes and says. "Dodger what's up bud?" Chris says as he gives Ashley a kiss on her head. "Hey, wife." She looks at him and says. "Hi, baby."

She sits up and Chris says. "I have work in a few hours, want to have breakfast in bed?" She nods and says. "Sure baby, I can make pancakes if you want." he gets out of bed with nothing but his boxers on and says. "Nope, My treat." He smiles at her and She says. "You sure? I don't mind cooking."

He says as he puts on a shirt from the walk-in closet. "Nope, I want my girl to stay here while I cook." He coughs a bit and Ash says in a worried tone. "You sure sound like you need bed rest. "She walks to him and places her hand on his forehead and he says. "Honey, I'm okay I just had a slight cough, don't worry." She pulls her hand away and says. "You're burning up, Chris!" He takes her hand and says as he kisses it. "I'm okay I promise"

Ash crosses her arms and says. "Evans! You get into bed this minute" He smirks and says. "Can't do too much if you're pregnant." She sighs and says with a grin. 'Very Funny Husband, Now get in bed I am making soup for you."

She gives him a kiss and he says as he pulls away. "Yes ma'am." He slaps her Ass and she jumps and says. 'Ek." He winks and she walks out and into the kitchen and she grabs a pot for the soup and says to her unborn baby. "Your father can be quite stubborn, let's just hope you don't take after him Okay, Aden?" She places her hand on the bump and feels a kick.

She cooks up soup and then she walks back in and says to Chris who looks super bad now. "Okay babe, time for breakfast."

He looks at her and says. "Soup..for breakfast? Honey, I want to make something special for you" She sits by him and says. "Well if your sick, I am making something for you, Aden even wants you better."

He smiles and says as he glances at her belly. 'Is that so my son?" He says as he looks at his wife. "Babe, I am just sick, It's not like I'm dying, and don't tell my mom or she will camp out in our living room for a whole danm week."

Ashley says. "I won't tell her, but eat this and try to rest." He eats and says. "I don't want you to get sick, you might go into early labor and I don't want that."

She smiles at him and says. "Chris just eat, don't worry about me right now, I will stay with you until you feel better." He eats half of the soup Ashley made and he gets a call from Mark, He picks up and says. "Hello Mark whats up?" Chris looks at Ash and says. "Let me ask my wife, hang on." he says as he has the phone on hold. "Honey? Can i do the ASP chat this afternoon?" Ash shakes her head and says. "No, Not if your sick babe."

He pouts and says in sweet tone that makes her heart melt. "But baby, I want too. I promise your all mine after!" She rolls her eyes and says. "Do you want me to call your mom?"

He looks at her and she says as she huffs out a breath "if that's what you want then fine!" She storms out and Chris says."hey..Im going to call you back."

He hangs up and gets out of bed and says as he walks down the hallway. "Ashley!" She is in the living room and she says. "Chris, your sick! If you want to stay sick then do what you want, I don't want to be pissed at you but i can't tell you what to do!"

She cross her arms and Chris says. "Really??! Your pissed off about me wanting to do my danm job!?" She looks away from him and he says. "No no you don't look away from me when i am talking to you!"

This is how he looks at Ash. 

He says. "I'm sorry i raised my voice but you can be a pain in the ass sometimes." She looks at him and says. "OH?! So i am the pain?? Chris you leave me for months for work and i have be the one to hold my job plus being pregnant it's so much harder!"

He growls and says. "Watch what you say next." She stares at him and says. "I..am!" 

Chris looks at her after she says that. 

She grabs her phone and slips her shoes and Chris says. "Where are you going?"

She turns around and says. "I am going to stay with your mom until you can not talk shit about me!" She storms out and Chris runs his hands through his hair and then he sits down.

At Lisa's home.

Ashley knocks and Scott opens the front door and says. "Hey, Ashley how are you?" he gives her a hug and she says as she hugs him back a bit. "I am okay, can i come inside?" he nods and says as he takes a step to the side. "Sure thing, is Chris at the car?" Ash says. "Um, No. He is at our home..i had to leave for a bit."

Scott says as he walks into the living room. "Oh. Is everything okay?" Ashley sits down and starts crying. Lisa walks in and says. "Scott who was-" she sees Ashley and says. "Oh Ash are you okay?" She sits by Ashley and Ash says as she shakes her head. "Chris and I had a fight" Lisa says. "Oh honey." She hugs Ashley and says as she rubs her back. "What happened?"

Ashley says. "He has a cold and he is mad because i wouldn't let him work..and i am just stressed cause of so much happening and i don't handle stress well."

Scott says. "Oh my God that sounds bad, I'm sorry." Ash sits up and says as she wipes away her tears. "I just need to stay away from him for a bit and Cool off." Lisa says. "We understand, Stay here as long as you want too." Ash nods.

Chris Walks into the kitchen and dials Ash's number. He gets a voice mail and he says after the message. "Ashley, I am sorry I got mad and I never meant what i said. Please call me back so i know your safe, I love you Honey." He hangs up and waits for the call back.

Ashley sees Chris's number and she let's it go and she listens the the message and she sits back on the couch and wonders if she should call him back, He does sound worried..What should she do?"

Lisa walks in and says. "He just called me, I told to have him come over and try to talk." Ash nods and says. "Okay."

Lisa says. "Ashley i am sure he is very sorry to for what he said, give him a chance." Ashley looks at Lisa and says with a small smile. "We'll see."

Chris gets out of his car and walks to the front door. He knocks and Lisa opens the door and He says. "Hey mom, Is Ashley okay?" She nods and says. "She's in the living room." he walks in and Ashley stands up and he breathes a sigh of relief and says. "Hi." She rubs her arms and says. 'Hey."

Chris says. "I'm sorry for what i said to you." She says. "I should be the one to apologize. I just don't know what else to do but get mad..and i shouldn't have yelled at you like that, Chris i just can't handle stress...and you yelling at me made it worse, that's why i yelled at you." 

He walks to her and gently takes her hands and says. "I shouldn't have yelled at you like that too, Can you forgive me?" She looks at him and nods saying. "You know I love you Evans" She leans close to him and gives a soft kiss and He pulls her closer and deepens the kiss. Ashley pulls away and says. "Aden just kicked." She places his hand on her belly and he Smiles and says. "Yes Aden, Your mom won." 

Ashley Smiles and looks at him and he kisses her head and she closes her eyes and says. "If we ever fight, please let's not be mad all day." He nods and says. "i agree Baby." 

He kisses her lips again and she hugs him and Lisa says from behind Chris. "I knew you two would be okay, you two love each other so much, you can't be mad with someone you love for long." 

Chris smiles and  they turn around and Ash says with her arms around Chris still. "Thank you."
