What About Us?

Part 15

It's early morning when Ashley wakes up and sees herself in the bedroom. She sits up and rubs her eyes saying. "Hmm, How did I get here?"

She stands up and walks into the bathroom and washes her face. She looks at herself in the mirror and sighs. She walks out and grabs her dress and puts it on.

She walks downstairs and into the living room and doesn't see Chris anywhere, she grabs her phone and sees a note from her hubby and it reads. "Hey, Beautiful if your reading this right now I am out shopping, I will be home soon, Hope your feeling better, love you very much."

Ash smiles at the note and texts him saying. "Chris, don't forget my soy milk please." She walks into the kitchen and grabs a cup of water and she looks around and says. "Hmm, Where are the dogs?"

She walks into the living room again and she hears someone knock on the front door. She gets up and walks to the door and opens it and sees Stan and he smiles at her saying. "Hello, is Chris home?"

She says. "Um, no he is out right now, can I help you?" He says as he looks at her. "Oh, I am Sebastian Stan, I don't know if he talked about me much." She smiles and says as she steps to the side. "Come in please, any friend of Chris's is a friend of mine."

He walks into the living room and says. "Thank you very much." he looks at her and she says. "Can I get you anything?" he looks at ash and says with a slight smile. "No thanks anyway." Ash nods and gives him a thin lip smile and then says. 'Well I am sure Chris will be home soon, he went out to get some things."

Sebastian nods and says. "That's fine, I was just passing by and wanted to see how he was." She glances at him and says with a grin ."I haven't got a text from him just yet." She looks at her phone to make sure.

He waves at her and she brings her eyes to his and she suddenly looks away because it feels wired looking into his eyes when they are so peaceful. She forces herself to stand up she says. "Excuse me please." She walks away.

Chris walks in and calls the dogs with him. He looks and says to Seb. "Hey man, how are ya?" Seb helps him with the bags and says. "I am good, I just got here, is Ashley ok?" Chris says as he puts the things away. "Is she awake?"

Seb nods and says. "She went upstairs, she looks kinda green." Chris looks at the stairs and says. "She hasn't been feeling very good for a few days." He looks at Seb and says. "I'll go check on her." He walks away.

Ashley is on the bed working on something and she says without looking up at her husband. "Welcome home." He smiles and kisses her head saying. "You feeling better?" She looks at him and says with a weak smile. "Yeah, I'm ok." He sits by her and says. "You sure?"

Ash nods and says as she looks at her laptop. "Yup, Just the flu I think," Chris says. "Hmm, did you want some ginger ale?" She says. "Sure babe."

He gently lifts her chin to meet his eyes and says. "Hey, I'm talking to you, don't look away from me like this." She blinks and says. "Chris I heard what you said I just need to be alone for a bit."

He frowns and she says knowing it's her turn to make him look at her. "Chris, I am ok, please don't be mad if I want to be alone for just a few minutes."

He smiles and says. "Okay." he kisses her head and then says as he stands up. "I'll be downstairs if you need me." She nods and says with a smile. "Okay love." He walks out. Ash gets a text and says. "Oh man, not Charlie again, I thought I blocked his number." He texts her saying.

Puth- Hey Ash, Just seeing how married life is and just know that I know where u live with Evans, I can come over anytime..just warning you!

Ash walks downstairs fast and Chris looks at her and she holds her phone to him without saying a word. He takes the phone and reads the text and he looks up at Ash and she bites her lip from crying and he pulls her into his arms and rubs her back and says in her ear. 

"Ashley, He needs to leave you alone, and if I have to hurt him to keep you safe...I will."

She pulls away and looks into his eyes and she says as she shakes her head. 'What if he hurts you...I don't want something bad to happen to you Chris please don't- "

He says in a loud tone. "Ashley! You know he will hurt you, and I can hurt him worse and I won't let him hurt us."

She glances at Seb and says. "Excuse us." she walks upstairs and Chris is behind her and they walk into the bedroom and she turns around with her arms folded and she says as she looks at Chris. "What the hell!?" Chris looks at her and says. "What!?"

She paces and says. "You are not some hero, your my husband and you can get hurt and even killed! And I don't want that for you or me, Chris you can't just go to his place and tell him to leave me alone, he knows what to do if someone threatens him."

Chris sits on the bed and says in a soft tone. "Ash, I just want to keep you safe, you are never going to trust me..are you?"

She sighs and says as she looks at him looking soft which she knows that's her weakness for him. "Chris, I just don't want to lose you, and you know I trust you! But I think we should just leave him alone and if he does confront me then I can talk to you about this, till then we are just going to drop it, got it?"

He nods and she walks to him and lifts his chin to meet her eyes and she says with a smile. "I love you, Chris Evans."

He smiles back at her and says as he stands up and wraps his arms around her waist. '"I love you too Ashley Evans."

She kisses his lips softly and then she leans her head on him and he rubs her back and says as he has his head on hers. "We'll be okay darling." She says as she sighs. "I hope so.
