Jethro and Jack were sitting outside still. It had been 1 ½ hours and they just sat there; quiet. Neither one had said a thing after Jack had said 'Cowboy, I love you'. Jethro took a deep breath. "Jack?," Jethro said. He had said her name like it was the most beautiful thing he had ever said. "Yes?," Jack asked, turning toward him.
"Promise me something, okay?," Jethro asked her. "What?," Jack asked, confused. "Promise me, you'll always love me even if I am an asshole to you," Jethro said as he leaned closer to Jack. "I promise. I'll love you no matter what, just promise me you will believe in me and stand up for me when I need it," Jack said, smiling. "I promise," Jethro said and smiled. Jack leaned in to close the gap between them.
She kissed him, hard, like she had minutes before Vance called them into his office. They loved each other. The love they had couldn't be changed by a fight they'd had. The love they had was honestly forever. They couldn't live without the other one. They were honestly soulmates; who could change that?
An hour later, Jack and Jethro were in the truck heading to the local bar to meet the guy. They finally arrived and Jethro turned off the car. "Alright, you are staying out here," Jethro says. "Uh. You're funny. I'm going in with you," Jack says, unbuckling her seat belt. "Jack..," Jethro trails off. "Please Jethro?," Jack asks him.
"Fine. But if anything happens to you, on my watch-," Jethro says but if cut off by Jack. "Nothing will. Thank you! Thank you, Cowboy!," Jack says. She leans over and kisses him on the cheek. He runs out of the truck and opens her door; like a gentleman. He was also hoping for a 'thank you' from Jack; that would tell if their relationship was really fine. "Thank you, Cowboy," Jack says, smiling. Jack stepped out of the truck and closed the door behind her.
They both entered the bar with high hopes. Jethro wanted to talk first so she let him. After a few minutes, Jethro talked to the man but his minions knocked them unconscious. She awoke and saw Jethro was already awake. He was also talking. "Listen, my wife here and I have been betrayed by the Federal Government, too. We want to team up with you to get back at them. I was a marine and she was in the army. They gave us a dishonorable discharge for the pettiest thing. We want to get back at them and we hear that you're the man for the job," Jethro says and looks at Jack. "How did you know where I'd be at? You're spies!," The man said and nodded towards his minions. The two minions punched both Jethro and Jack.
