The man had tortured Jack and Jethro for an hour now. "...Fine. Answer this question," The man said. "What is it?," Jethro asks. Jethro had usually been the one talking; he didn't want there to be a reason they hit Jack, even though they hit her when they hit him. "Would you put this woman's life on the line?," The man said. Both Jack and Jethro had a bad feeling when he said those words.
"No. Why would I? She's the love of my life. I would never willingly put her life on the line," Jethro said. Jack's face flashed with a blush and then to a poker face. "Aw. So sweet," The man said and nodded at his minions. One punched Jack and the other sliced her face with a knife. Jack winced in pain. The man nodded at the minions again and they untied Jethro.
Jethro quickly stood up and started punching both minions. Once they were both on the floor, he drop-kicked them. "Next time you lay a hand on her, I'll kill you," Jethro said and started untying Jack's hands. "Wow. You are a marine. Here's a burner phone. I'll call you soon and you'll have your first job," The man said after Jethro finished untying Jack and she was now standing. "By the way, the name's Charles Xavier. My friends call me 'Xavier'," Xavier handed him the burner phone and the couple left.
Jack and Jethro were both sitting on the couch in the living room at the villa. They were watching Indiana Jones. It had been a good movie so far for Jack and for Jethro it was one of the best; considering he's watched it many, many times before. They decided to pause the movie and get more popcorn. They both stood up from the couch and walked to the kitchen with the bowl. Jack placed a bag of popcorn in the microwave and started it.
She turned around and saw Jethro filling up a mug with coffee. "No more coffee. It's late. I don't want you staying up all night. We should probably think about going to sleep after the movie's over. We don't know when Xavier will call so we need to get as much sleep as possible," Jack said, taking the mug of coffee and dumping it into the sink. "But Jack..," Jethro said. "No buts. We can't have coffee every single day of our lives; it's not healthy for us," She said, looking him in the eye. "Fine. Mom," Jethro said, teasing Jack. "Hey! I'm just trying to look out for your well-being. If you want to die from coffee then so be it. I won't stand in your way," Jack said and walked out of the kitchen.
Jethro grabbed the popcorn bag and dumped it into the bowl. He hurried into the living room after Jack. "Okay, okay. Thank you. I'm sorry. You were looking out for me. I just don't like being bossed around; which I know you weren't trying to but it felt that way," Jethro says, sitting down next to Jack. "It's okay, I'm sorry and you're welcome. Now let's watch; I love this movie," Jack said, enthusiastically. "More than me?," Jethro asked; knowing damn well what the answer was. "No. I love you more than anything in this world," Jack said and kissed him. She then put her head on his chest and pressed play.
