A few weeks later, Jethro was staring intently at the burner phone Xavier had given him. The phone hadn't rung; not yet. Jack was at the dining room table doing some work on her laptop. She looked over at Jethro and sighed. "You know it'll never ring if you keep staring at it. 'Watch the pot, the pot never boils'. Go drink some coffee or something," Jack said but then something caught her eye.
The trash can was filled to the rim with coffee cups. "Nevermind don't drink any coffee. Just take a walk. Clear your head and DON'T take the phone with you," Jack went back to her work and Jethro thought about what she'd just said. He decided to go take a walk. He put the phone next to Jack and put on his shoes. He headed out the door to take his nice long walk.
It was 10 minutes after Jethro came back from his walk when the phone rang. It was a burner phone. He answered it. "Hello. This is James," Jethro said. "Hello, James. I have a job for you and your wife. I didn't call you sooner because I wanted you two to recover from everything. So, how ya feeling?," Xavier asked. "I'm fine. What's the job?," Jethro said. They talked for a bit and then met up at the bar. After 3 days, Jack and Jethro finally finished the job.
It'd been a week. Jack and Jethro were at the villa enjoying another Indiana Jones movie. They'd been doing many jobs for Xavier but still hadn't met the big boss; the head of it all. Xavier called him 'Merri Weather'. Suddenly, the television started to turn off the movie. A face appeared on it.
It was Vance. He'd contacted them before but not during a movie so this was definitely a bit weird for them. "Hello, Vance," Jack and Jethro said at the same time. "Hello, Jack and Jethro. Are there any new leads?," Vance asked them. "Not yet but-," Jack was saying but got cut off by the burner phone ringing. "It's Xavier. Stay on the line but don't make any noise," Jethro said to Vance and then answered the phone.
"Hey, Xavier," Jethro said. "Hello James. Tonight, you'll be meeting Merri Weather. 7:00p.m. at The Business," Xavier said. The Business is what they called the building they meet up for all the time. "Alright," Jethro said. They both hung up. Jethro then told Vance and Jack what happened.
