Chapter 12

Standing He kissed my forehead and stroked my chin with his thumb as he sighed deeply looking into my begging watery eyes as I sat looking up at him wondering if I could have have done something different something to make him stay. My thoughts raced through my head panicked occasionally pricking my eyes as I came to terms with the situation. That's when he left. He just left striding towards the boys dorms, I swivelled around in my seat to watch him as he walked hopping he would at least look back at me and maybe change his mind. He didn't.

The days flew by. I spent the entire week sleeping as every hour I spent awake felt like having my heart torn out all over again, I couldn't stop my brain from replaying his words. I occasionally woke when Pansy would bring me dinner but I would just admire the steaming plate as it slowly froze till I fell back asleep. Pansy would skip potions to be with me as I'm assuming Asteria convinced Snape to let her but I never let her skip any important classes, I also hadn't received a letter of concern from Dumbledore so either someone pulled his leg and explained everything or Pansys been doing my work and making excuses or threats to keep my out of trouble. I told her not to bother but I know what she's like.

Today was Friday so everyone was about to get back from class, I still haven't seen anyone since Draco said what he did except from my Pansy obviously but I'm never in the mood to speak she just holds me as we fall asleep. That's when I heard a knock at my door, I slowly sat up from bed "come in" I grumbled as I rubbed my sore eyes making small white dots appear, hearing someone open the door and shut it behind them I looked up at them letting my eyes adjust to the light, their blurry figure came slowly into view. I blinked several times before noticing Eris Regarto standing in front of me with her arms crossed "so it's not true" she raises an eyebrow at me as she observes me "what?" I reply with confusion drowning my face "well there are two theory's that you've been kidnapped by Voldemort reincarnated or that you got shipped to Azkaban for an unforgivable curse" she chuckled to herself as I let her words sink in "well there was also a third, that you pitched yourself off the astronomy tower but I said that someone would have seen something if that was true" her hair dangled effortlessly as she spoke "well I'm alive, is that all you wanted" I said in a grumbly tone.

"Am I not allowed to be worried about one of my class mates y/n" her smirk made her sentence seem almost sarcastic "sorry i just haven't been the friendliest lately" I sigh pushing my hair back "well I did also want to speak with you on another mater" I raised an eyebrow at her curiously encouraging her to continue "a few students felt the need to report back to me about a certain incident in the great hall in which you and Draco looked... particularly cosy with one another" she lent against the bed post waiting on my reaction "I didn't even realise it looked that way" I lied to her "yes well it seemed a lot of people got the wrong impression. You see I don't know if anyone told you but me and Draco have a complicated relationship, very on and off. I let him have his fun when I'm away but him and his conquests respect my presence when I'm back" my head spins with her words "what so Malfoys whored out on the vacations but when your here your his doting house wife" I laugh at how ridiculous she's making their situation seem "no he loves and respects me but I understand that it's not fair for him to be so lonely in my constant absence so I allow him a few free passes on holidays but I'm back now and I just wanted to let you know so no one ends up stepping on anyone's toes. I know that's the last thing either of us want" her smirk digging into my soul with every work she speaks "of corse Eris, there was never anything between me and Malfoy any ways were just friends" my lies clog up my throat.

Her smile makes me want to gouge her eyes out with my bare hands. That's when Pansy swiftly enters the room dropping her basket of laundry as she noticed Eris. I hear muffled shouting followed by a slamming door as I feel Pansys presence on the bed holding me "what did she say to you" she demanded holding me as I stared deeply into the bedding covering me "just... um making sure I understood her relationship with Draco" I sputtered out slowly trying to gather my thoughts "wait what? What relationship? Y/n they've literally fucked a few time when Dracos been desperate or drunk enough to stoop to her level that's it and you shouldn't listen to her if she made it seem like more" Pansy attempts to reassure me but who knows he's not exactly known for having the best reputation but someone would have mentioned it to me surly.
