Chapter 25 ~ Ambiguous Loss

some how i had made it to 5th period, i really wasn't sure how because the day had dragged. the morning with Cedric was strange, he just kept asking me about how i felt about Draco being back. the last person i wanted to think, let alone talk about was that man. he did eventually drop it once i explained i couldn't give a flying fuck but that's still not the way i wanted to start my morning. i did manage to take my mind off it for a while when i got Cedric under the sheets.

i was walking out the door after the class had been dismissed and i felt like i was running, i was so set on just getting back to the common room i guess my feet just started picking up the pace. i was hit with what felt like a wall stopping me in my tracks making me fall back a step "what the fuck" i shouted rubbing my forehead, a girl in a green robe collected herself up off the floor from where we had collided "do you ever watch where you are going or do you have a habit of stepping on other peoples toes" she yelled, the cool toned brunette girl turned her nose up at me, i recognised her face but her hair was a strange shade, she wasn't a dark cool brown or a light warm auburn, she was just a bland middle shade cool toned brunette.

"who the fuck do you think you're speaking to" i screwed my nose up in disgust, i could tell she was in the year bellow but i couldn't work out where i recognised her from "oh i know exactly who i'm speaking to, i would say its a pleasure to finally meet you but i'd be lying. who do you exactly think you're speaking too" her attitude was unbelievably rude and disrespectful "i don't know, what am i speaking to exactly" i looked her up and down with the snobbiest look on my face, who did this girl think she was.

"i am Daphnie" she stated as if that was meant to ring a bell, i shrugged my shoulders and slanted my eyes at her showing i didn't have a clue who she was "Daphnie Greengrass" she turned her nose up at me again. Greengrass, oh yes, Astorias sister. fuck thats why she looked so familiar. i had heard about Daphnie at Astorias funeral and the gossip about how upset she was but i had never actually see the girl, from what i could remember.

"you may not know a lot about me other then the dead girls sister, but she told me a lot about you" i took a step closer to intimidate her "you're right i don't know anything about you and it better stay that way because if you want to make me you're enemy you're sister has left a vacancy just waiting to be filled" luckily Cedric came up behind me grabbing my arm and pulling me away from her, we started walking or i was speed walking and he was trying to keep up with me.

he kept trying to talk to me but i wasn't listening i just wanted to get to the safety of the sofas, once we got to the common room doors though he grabbed my arm stopping me form getting in. i span round in a huff "what!" i shouted at him"what? what the fuck was that? you were being a cold hearted bitch, thats not like you" my frustration was only amplified by how stressed i was "see thats the thing, that is like me. i am a bitch, i always have been and always will be. the fact you're claiming that isn't like me makes me think you don't know me" he rolled his eyes clearly disregarding what i was saying "y/n i love you stop being stupid i know you're stressed but-" i interrupted him "how could you 'love' such a cold hearted bitch" i stropped off opening the common room doors.

he kept talking trying to follow me so i span round and shouted "the hufflepuff common rooms are on the other side of the building, maybe you'll be welcome there because you deffinitley aren't here" he stood back in shook, i don't think he knew what to say "sorry i'm such a heartless bitch" then i let the door slam in his face.

stropping into the common room all of my friends were sat on the sofas staring at me. Pansy, Ria, Theo,Blaise, Enzo and Draco. i huffed walking up to them "how much of that did you hear" Pansy swallowed "all of it? you were shouting to be fair" she started slowly rising from the cushions "no no its fine, at least then i don't have to explain to you all why we aren't talking at the moment"
