Felix sighed as he straightened his t-shirt. He couldn't figure out if he looked okay, it was Aeron's birthday party day, and everything was already set up. All he had to do was get Aeron from where Nils was holding them hostage at the mall, and take the two of them back to Aeron's house. In the backyard Felix's siblings had helped Felix and the gang set up a sheet and a projector, along with the science themed snacks. There was even a chocolate fountain that they'd rented, and strawberries and other food to dip into it. He knew at some point one of his friends would just take a cup or a bowl and fill it with chocolate, and just eat plain chocolate. Felix shuddered just thinking about it, but as of before he'd left Aeron's house, there were skewers set up, each with a little science themed thing at the end of it.

Felix forced himself to take a deep breath and swung his keys on his fingers, hoping that his painted nails matched well enough with his outfit. Dani had said it looked good before he'd gone upstairs to grab his wallet, and his moms had agreed, and if they said he looked good, who was he to argue. He played the playlist that the gang had made specifically for Aeron's birthday, mostly composed of LANY and Ruel, with a few other songs that had a similar vibe. It didn't take long to get to the mall, and when he'd parked into a spot, he sent a quick text to Nils, drumming his fingers on the dashboard as he waited for Aeron to show up. Nils' mom had dropped the two of them, Nils having decided against having his car there so that everything was ready before Aeron got home. He spotted Nils' blonde hair pulling along Aeron who had a slight smile on his face. Felix grinned, as the two of them got into the car.

"Happy Birthday!" Felix said as Aeron buckled his seatbelt. "The playlist that is playing, is now sent to you." Felix set his phone down after clicking send on the message. He might trust his friends with his life, but he trusted no one with his phone. The notes app filled with random lyrics his mind came up with at odd hours of the day? The voice memos with little melodies that Felix liked but felt like were in the wrong key? The random photos in his camera roll? Yep, no one got to see all of that except for Felix.

"Wait, I love this!" Aeron grinned, turning between Felix and Nils. "Oh this has all your spotifys."

"Yeah, we all added music to it, but most of it is LANY and Ruel," Nils added from the backseat. The three of them fell into a comfortable silence, Aeron looking through the playlist. When the house appeared on the corner, Nils sent a quick text from the backseat and Felix felt his excitement grow. Everything appeared normal in the front, but Felix knew that once they got to the backyard things would be exciting.

"Ok now that we're here, all we need to do," Felix started, after unbuckling his seatbelt. "Is get that box on the front porch."

"What's in the box?" Aeron raised his eyebrows, his eyes narrowing. Felix just laughed, letting Nils get the box, leaving Aeron to glare at Felix.

"Oh look at that, it's a blindfold and a party hat!" Nils said, grinning at Aeron's face. Aeron shook their head, picking up the hat and putting it on his head, and letting Nils tie the blindfold on. Felix laughed, running to the backyard as Nils led Aeron there. He whispered a quick hi to Jupiter before going to stand in the spot that was left for him, grabbing a confetti cannon. As Nils led Aeron to the backyard he watched as everyone got their confetti cannons ready while Aeron's parents stood in the back with some other parents as well as a few of Aeron's siblings.

"Three," Nils started, letting go of their hand and holding the back of the blindfold beginning to untie it. "Two, and one!" Felix grinned as he turned the bottom with his friends and watched as confetti rained down. Even if they had to clean up a shit ton of confetti afterwards, it was very worth it. The smile that lined Aeron's face along with the shock made Felix's heart soar.
