"Why is it that we're always at the Hospital? I mean, they have to be keeping a record of our faces or how many times we're here, because - it's a lot" My cold fingers fumbled with the car keys as Scott and I exited my car.
"You'll get used to it" Scott sighed and walked towards the double doors, leaving me fumbling behind him still trying to ask questions about what the hell we were doing here.
The last hour had been a blur - Scott helped Derek, who was somehow trapped inside the Boiler Room with Cora and Boyd, and our English teacher? Isaac and him didn't let me go inside so I wasn't exactly in a position to ask questions at the time, but everyone was safe.
"So he just phoned you and asked you to meet him here? Again, I feel like this happens often"
Again. "You'll get used to it"
"Right, you see, we've been in a forest all night trying to catch two homi-" I walked closer and whispered to him as we entered. "Homicidal werewolves, and before that we were in an abandoned bank fighting them off" My head nodded. "And that's a regular occurrence?"
Pressing the button on the elevator, he thought for a moment before nodding to me. "Pretty much. We're always kind of busy here - it seems to never stop in Beacon Hills"
We stepped inside and became encapsulated by complete silence for the first time in what seemed like forever, the only sound filling the small box was the gentle hum of power running above and beneath us.
"You can still run you know, or bow out - nobody will think anything less of you. It's a scary place, I'm sure you'll feel a lot safer somewhere else if that's what you want" He turned to me. "We would help you"
"Scott" I scoffed. "Are you kidding? This is the most action I've seen in a long time, I love it. Thing's were getting boring around here, it's nice to have a little mischief to lighten things up sometimes" The elevator whirred to a stop on the bottom floor and the doors dung open. "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else, with anyone else. You guys are my people"
"Good" He smiled and walked out with me, I still wasn't sure why Stiles told us to come here. "I hope you keep that attitude when you see what Stiles has - it's bad"
"Great" I pulled a face as we walked into a smaller room down a narrow corridor. "Mortuary...lovely" My eyes grazed the words on the door as we walked inside.
Stiles grinned at me before pulling me into a tight hug and letting out a deep breath. "God, I am so glad you're okay"
"I told you I'd be fine, you don't have to worry about me" I pulled away and smiled back at him, nodding to the table that very clearly had a body on it. "Want to tell us why we're here?"
"Okay, but I'm promising you that as soon as this is all done we're going to go on the most amazing date, and this will all be worth it - got that?" His fingers pointed at me and I nodded, blushing - he was too sweet.
"Got it"
"Alright, so I don't think Boyd and Cora were the ones killing people tonight" He approached the table and I braced myself. "I think it was something else"
"Something like?.." I trailed off. "It had to have been Boyd and Cora, they were ruthless tonight and would've killed anything they seen"
