"Oh come on, really?" I shook my head down the phone at Lydia, who had just told me she had left yet another man in her bed when she came to school. "Where are you?" My car door shut behind me and I walked through the car park, looking for her.
"In front of you" She suddenly came into my sight and I hung up the call, making my way over to her.
"Ah, finally - hello" She smiled at me and linked my arm through her own as I turned to her. "Please tell me that's the last boy that you'll get with...right?"
We both walked up the stairs and met Allison at her locker, greeting her too before getting back to the topic at hand. "Well, it's fun"
Allison raised her eyebrows, pulling a book out her locker. "What are we talking about?"
Lydia opened her mouth to speak but I butted in before she could. "Lydia's having an issue with guys"
"And by issue you mean..."
"She keeps fooling around with them, like - the whole summer. And we all know it's because Jackson is gone and she's trying to fill the void right?"
Lydia nodded her head. "Yes, that's true"
"Okay good" I placed a hand on her arm. "Accepting you have a problem is the first step to overcoming your problem. Now, we need to control your problem"
She turned to me and Allison's locker closed next to us. "And how do we do that?"
"Well.." Leaning back on the locker, I scanned around the hallway, looking for a victim. "You need to find someone who's willing to be a permanent..." I paused for a moment. "Subject?"
"Distraction" Allison wagged her finger at me and I nodded to her.
"Yes, a willing distraction"
Lydia hesitated for a moment before getting on board with the plan. "Alright, I'm listening. How do we find this distraction hmm?"
My eyes had already landed on the perfect subjects, and they had just walked right through the doors as if they were listening to us. They were gorgeous, tall, handsome - perfect.
"I think we've already found them" I nodded to the door and at the pair of boys walking directly towards us. "And there's two of them" My eyebrows raised at Allison who immediately shook her head.
"Twins? This sounds like a disaster waiting to happen" Her hand ran through her hair.
"Then let it happen" Lydia never took her eyes off the two boys, shooting a smile towards them which they graciously returned. "This will be fun"
I rolled my eyes and let out a laugh as they walked into a classroom and out of our site. "Least we will only need to keep up with one boy?"
"That's a positive" Allison chuckled with me and Lydia grabbed her arm, pulling her towards the room that the twins had just went into. I waved goodbye to them and continued down the hallway, looking for Stiles and Scott who I assumed would be here somewhere considering I had the same classes as them - Allison and Lydia had the same classes too so everything worked out.
"There you are!" I heard a loud voice behind me and turned around to see Stiles running towards me, pulling me into a tight hug. "I've been texting you"
Hugging him back, I spoke into his chest. "You have? I've been helping Lydia all morning sorry. Here I am now" My head looked up at him and he smiled down at me.
Scott coughed from beside us and we jumped apart, turning around to him. He let out a big laugh and shook his head. "By all means carry on, I'm glad you guys will be back together again"
"Me too" Stiles gripped me tighter and I felt my heart swell into my chest. For the first time we were being affectionate in front of Scott, and it was nice.
"Me three" I grinned at both of them and they laughed at me. My hand pointed to Scott's arm. "How'd the tattoo go?"
"Terrible" Stiles grimaced next to me and I pulled a face.
"That bad? I didn't think they were that sore I mean, you've endured a lot more" My head nodded to him and he agreed with me before shaking his head.
"It was fine, but it didn't stay"
I raised my eyebrows. "What do you mean it didn't stay?"
"It healed"
"It healed?" I gawked at him.
"It was...disgusting" Stiles rolled his eyes next to me and gagged into his hand.
"I guess it just doesn't work on werewolves" Scott looked down at the floor.
"Derek" I spoke to the both of them and they tore their eyes to me, a confused look shared between the two of them. I scoffed and continued, them clearly not getting what I was saying. "Derek has a tattoo on his back, remember?"
"Oh yeah!" Scott exclaimed and I nodded to him. "We need to talk to Derek"
"I'm really not the biggest fan of him, you know - he's just a little...aggressive" Stiles' hands flailed about anxiously as he spoke. "It's very unnecessary. Like, really"
"You're just scared of him" I looked up at him, teasing him.
"Me? No! I'm not, it's just - he's unpredictable...I don't like that, I like predictable" He trailed off and I turned back to Scott.
"So we'll go visit him after school?"
"Great" I shot him a smile and placed a comforting hand on Stiles' back. "It'll be fine, I'll make sure he stays in line, don't worry" He nodded at me, still spiralling.
My phone buzzed in my pocked and I pulled it out, my eyes scanning over the words in a text from Melissa. I looked up at Scott, even though he could probably hear my heart pounding in my chest with fear.
"What is it?" He took a step forward, taking the phone out of my hand and reading it for himself. "Oh my god" His voice fell short and Stiles shouted beside us.
"Will somebody please tell me what's going on?!"
My voice came out shaky as I spoke, afraid of what was going to happen next. "It's about Isaac. Something's wrong"
