Rollercoaster LOVE

Harry drug us to Dumbeldores office straight away. As we climbed the stairs, Draco held my hand for dear life.

Snape had been waiting with Dumbeldore as the guided us to sit.

"Sir, before I tell you, I'm sorry. " Draco says not quite meeting his eyes.

"Mr. Malfoy, do you know what sets us apart from him?" Dumbeldore asks.

Draco looks up and shakes his head.

"It's love. The love of our family, friends, and for your case Ms. Sparks." He explains. "Professor Snape tells me you'd been given the task to kill me."

Harry and I look at Draco, sadly. I can't imagine him being capable of it. He was too loveable for that to happen.

"Also, to repair the Vanishing Cabinet. He doesn't think I'm capable of it." Draco whispers.

"While we try to think of a solution, work on fixing the cabinet." Dumbeldore says.

We look at him in confusion but he nods and tells us to go breakfast.

Harry catches Ron and Hermione up on Draco's task, as my attention is diverted. I know he's a lot going on but I can't rip my eyes from him. I'm always in awe when I stare at him. I remember that summer I found out I was to marry him. I didn't imagine that I was going to fall for him like this.

As I'm lost in my thoughts I see him look at me. 'What?" he mouths to me smililing. I blush and wink at him, quickly turning my head. He's such a distraction.

Draco had been busy trying to fix the cabinet, with Hermione's help. Dumbeldore hadn't told us why, just to fix it. I can't help but shake the feeling that he's not telling us something.

Snape told us thath they are trying ot find a way to destroy the necklace. Regulus had been hiding at Grimmauld Place, away from any Death Eater suspicions.

Sirius was working for the ministry as an Auror alongside Tonks, Mad Eye and Kingsley. They'd been tracking down some leads but hadn't found much.

I'd been busy with Ron and Ginny trying to find new recuits for the DA. Pansy joined quickly after I told her what we stood for. She didn't agree with blood purity, it was a show for her parents. She was scared like the rest of us but was able to get Blaise and Theo to join.  So far we'd gotten some from each house. Our size was still small though.

I sigh flopping in the chair in our common room. It'd been a rough day and  we were trying to teach the younger students to produce patroneses.

Ginny takes a seat on the floor below me laying her head back on the seat. She was just as exhausted as I was.

"Gin, I know we've been avoiding it but I think we need to talk." I tell her. Draco was still nervous she had feelings for me but I don't think it to be true.

"Amber, let it go." she tells me turning to face me. I sit up and tell her I can't.

"Gin, I don't love you in a romantic way. I'm sorry if that's how I made you feel." I feel a weight lifted from my shoulders.

"I've been over my crush for awhile now. Although, since we're talking about it.. is Pansy single?" she asks.

"Pansy.. Parkinson?" I say confused trying to understand.

"Yes." she says boldly.

"I mean yeah, but her and Ron..." I say.

"Listen, the purebloods are all messed up. I"m sure that's the last of her and my worries." Ginny says laughing.

Harry had his dreams invaded more often. Snape was trying to work with him on it but they had a row and the lessons stopped. Draco tried but Harry didn't want any more parts of it.

One day sitting around the library studying, we get summoned to Dumbeldore's office. Harry had gotten into a memory of Slughorn's revealing the word Horcrux.

"How did I miss that?" Hermione says. With all eyes trained on her she tells us hwo you have to kill someone to make one, how to destroy it, and that it literally splits your soul.

"Wait.. Hermione.. Riddle's diary, the necklace." Harry says.

"Very intuitve, Potter. Yes. We believe that the basillik fang will rid of the necklace." Snape says.

"How many are there?" I ask.

"Ah, Ms. Sparks. That is the question. Unfortunately, we don't know." Dumbeldore says sadly. He pulls a ring from his drawer.

"I'd found this one as well." he adds.

"Harry, you're the key to all of this." Hermione says.

"I can't keep letting him into my head." Harry tells her shivering at the thoughts of nightmares.

"Professor, I understand he's afraid of you. Is there any other reason he would want you gone so badly?" Hermione asks Dumbeldore.

"I should think because he sees me as his equal. Upon discussion with The Order and Professor Snape you may find that we've come up with a plan. This will be asking alot of each of you but should you succeed you will be saving our world." Dumbeldore says. Just like it was the simplest thing in the world to do.

The plan is to pretend he's dead. Dumbeldore tells us he's found the Ressurection stone from the kids tale. Harry had the cloak and Dumbledore shows us his wand. It was a complete set.

Should Draco fail at killing Dumbeldore, Snape will have to. He told me privately he'd taken teh Unbreakable Vow and kept it from Draco. This would be the only way to gain Voldemort's trust as well. The stone would revive Dumbeldore and he'd be taken into hiding. We just had to fix the damn cabinet first.
