"Baby, I'm so sorry." my dad whispers.

This wasn't the life they'd envisioned for me. I'm sure.  They'd been running missions for Voldemort in hopes of hearing of a Horcrux but no word was sent.

My mom cried alot when she found out. She doesn't leave her room or eat much these days unless ordered to. Lucius and my dad are Voldemort's right hand men.

I couldn't wait until we got to kill this bastard. I was happy we did the control that we did with the DA. The days of summer slowly went by as we finally recieved our Hogwarts letters.

"What's the point?" Draco asks me.

I would do anything to get out of here.

"I'm going back." I tell him. I wanted to see Snape and stop seeing the same four walls and depression in one place.

"Fine, I'll go. Your staying in my room where I can keep an eye on you, though." he tells me.

I knew better than to argue when he got like this so I nod and go back to the book I was reading.

"He's not here, losers" I hear Neville say.

Death Eaters crawled around the Express. I haven't bothered to learn any of their names. I wanted them dead anyway.

Draco takes my hand and leads me back into the Slytherin compartment with Pansy, Blaise, Theo, and Ginny. I run and hug Ginny instantly. I was sad without the red flashes that I'd see so often. She hugs me back as if she'd hadn't seen me in years.

"As much as I hate to break this up, can I hug my best friend?" Pansy steals me from Ginny as she pouts.

I laugh and return Pansy's hug.

"We've got a lot to talk about." I say to the group. I cast a Muffilato spell on the carriage, while Draco puts up protection wards.

We tell them about the marks we were forced to take, not to Ginny's surprise. I guess Fred gotten the message across to them.

"They'd gotten the Carrows to teach this year." Ginny whispers.

I heard of them. They were sick. They had no regard for human life.

"We just need to have faith in Harry." I tell Ginny giving her hand a squeeze.

Snape was Headmaster and it was dark. Hogwarts was miserable and like never before. Snape did a good job in his role, I had to give him thta much. Classes with the Carrows were awful. They expected us to perform all spells on each other, favoring the crucio curse.

When Draco and I sat in class we sat toward the back and didn't talk much to anyone. They never called on us to do work and we never interuppted.

Days started blending in the miserable hell hole. Snape called us in for regular meetings to give updates. Harry had found another Horcrux this time it was the Cup of Hufflepuff. Voldemort knew and was pissed. He was getting too close for comfort, having close to half.

"Draco, I've been bugged by something." I tell him.

"What is it love?" he asks.

"If they are pieces of his soul he'd want to keep them close. Most likely objects of significance, right?" I ask to verify my ideas.

"Where are you going with this?" he asks.

I grab him by the hand and go toward the Ravenclaw tower. I never realized the hike they had to classes and felt bad toward them. I answer the riddle on the knocker and we enter the common room.

"You should've been a ravenclaw. What are we doing here?" Draco questions.

"I'm looking for someone, or something."  I tell him as Luna enters asnwering my request.

"Luna, where's the grey lady?" I ask her.

"She floats around the six floor corridor, sometimes. I see her in the East wing when she is there."

"I could kiss you!" I say pulling her into a hug.

"I wouldn't mind. Why are you searching for her?"  I blush as Draco pulls me closer..

"I'm looking for something that may be lost. Is there anything like that relating to your house?" Iask her.

"Her moms diadem. It's like a tiara you see. I heard they bring the nargels though." she tells me.

Draco grabs my hand and heads in the direciton we'd recieved from Luna adn we go in search of her.

"HE DEFILED IT."  she yells tring to leave.

"Helena, please. We want to rid it of the dark magic. We need to find it." Draco says to her.

"You're lucky your boyfriend is handsome." she says to me. She tells us the riddle and just before she goes Istop her and thank her. She nods and floats away.

"We need to tell Snape before moving." I tell Draco.

He releuctantly agrees with me as we go off toward the Headmster office.

"Professor!" I yell as I run up to Snape. He was alone in his office about to send a message to someone.

"She's brilliant. We've got news." Draco tells him while I catch my breath.

He gestures us to be quiet and hands me a parchement where I write about our conversation with Helena. Reading the note he nods and adds it to his owl. He sends it off and gestures for us to sit.

I think they're listening,

Snape's baritone voice enters my mind. I nod and tell him I'd gotten a good grade in potions. He congratulates me and asks if there was anything else.

"I finally proposed, sir." Draco lies. I look at him and he shrugs. I guess that would be a reason for us to rush in here.

"Take good care of this one, Draco." he says.

"Yes, sir. We need to get a good ring and a date but we hope you'd attend the weddng when we get that far." he says.

Leaving his office I feel my heart still beating fast. Draco wants to marry me. I knew that but somehow hearing it said made it feel real.
