Rollercoaster LOVE

Draco placed a ring on my finger. Not an engagement ring, but a promise ring. His promise to me to love and care for me in hopes he'd marry me one day. It was silver and had Red and green stones on it.

I was laying with Draco on his bed when he started to play with my necklace. I cock my head to the side and ask what he's doing.

"This... where did you get it?" He asks me.

"It was a christmas present. Not jealous are you?" I tease him.

"It's just.. do you know these are specially made? Theyre quite expensive too." he tells me.

I pull away and support myself with my elbow.

"How much are we talking, Draco?" Iask.

"Enough that I'm hoping it wasn't Weasley who gave it to you."

"You're thinking of the wrong one." I tell him. I lay on my back and sigh.

"Which one was it then? Enough of-" He starts.

"Draco..." I warn him.

"Sorry, force of habit. Need to keep it up for apperances sake." He tells me.

"It was Ginny." I tell him.

"Gin, I can't take this." I tell her. I'm on my way to DA lessons with her and try handing back the necklace.

"Why? It's meant and looks beautiflul on you." she tells me.

"Because.. it's too much." I tell her still trying to hand it back.

"I won't take it back," she says as she runs away from me.

I try to catch up but I'm not quick enough. I laugh but really do need to return the necklace to her. I figured I'd try again later.

We were practicing our dueling when a dragon patronus comes into the room.

"Leave now, Umbridge is on her way with us." Dracos voice rings.

Panic ensues adn everyone tries escaping. Half of the people including myself manage to escape but most of my friends are caught.

"Dumbledore is gone." Harry tells us.

Draco had snuck into our common room as Harry filled us in on what happened he ran his hand over my back. George was watching him with jealousy.

"Draco if you hear anything, please let us know. I appreciate the warning, yeah?" He says.

Draco nods at him. "I'll do anything to keep Amber safe."

Harry nods and returns to the conversation and tries to figure out who told on us.

Draco just told everyone that he was mine, right? I feel my face heating up at the thought.

Someone should calm themselves.

Damn it.

Everything that happened next, happened so quickly. Umbridge was taking over. She was going to drive Hogwarts into the ground. We had our O.W.L. exams coming up, so everyone had been focused on studying. We hadn't had any DA meetings, unable to find a place to practice.

George and Fred told me thier plan of leaving just undecided when it was going to happen.

We were in the Great Hall seated in rows taking exams when we hear a loud bang, followed by another. In a cloud of smoke the twins come in throwing fireworks adn the papers scatter.

George threw one that chased Draco and exploded as an image of his face throwing me a wink. I giggle and join my friends outside, watching the twins logo appear in the sky.

They yell that they will be opening soon and George shoots me a sad look just before flying away. Just like that they were gone.

The days began to blur together without the twins humor to lighten the mood. Draco has been with me usually but today he was pulled by Umbridge to go somewhere. I sit in the library alone, reading a muggle story.

Draco runs in the library and grabs me by the arm dragging me to the Slytherin common room. He hasn't said anytning but he looks scared and keeps looking around.

When we finally get in the common room he sits me down next to Pansy as he runs up to his room. Pansy looks just as confused as I am until he comes back down the steps.

"It's Potter. He saw something and they ran." Draco tells us, as he's out of breath.

"What was it," I exclaim.

"He told Snape,' They have Padfoot at the place it's hidden." He recalls the events taht happened recently.

"Are you sure he said Padfoot?" I clarify.

I would rush into the danger, but I needed to make sure.

"Yes. Fuck. Sparks, what does that mean?"HE asks running a hand through his hair.

"It means I have to go. You two stay here. Please."I tell them.

"Stay safe." Pansy tells me as she stands to kiss my cheek.

"Let me come." Draco tells me.

"We can't risk it. Death Eaters will be there."

Draco sits looking defeated. I kiss him and run out of the door into Snape''s office. He was paicing.

"Merlin, Sparks. I thought you'd gone." He says relived.

"I need to go." Itell him with urgency.

"No, I was told for you to remain here. You stay and wait for orders."Snape tells me.

I sit in the chair in his office, shaking my leg. They wanted me to be apart of the Order why not let me act on it?

"Amber, have you thought about your Slytherin friends?" Snape asks, most likely to distract me.

I shake my head.

"Most of their parent's are death eaters. It's clear where their loyalties will lie. Do you know if anyone other than Draco will be joining you, for the light?" he asks.

I think of the group.

"Pansy will be on our side for sure. Theo might. Blaise will probably stay as far from this as possible. Astoria Greengrass might be on the light side." I say trying to remember the entirety of the Slytherin house.

He nods. "I think you should start speaking with Draco about who may be on our side."
