The Blind Luna

Luna to Luna

It been weeks since we were informed of the she-wolf willing to donate her sight. Kyo assured me that she was more than joyed to do it, but still guilt clouded me. I was not giving her a gift or anything more like a curse. Laying on the empty bed surrounded with darkness. I figured if this was going to be the last week having this blindness, I would live it to the fullest with my mate. I would take my time to memorize every detail, scent, freckle, and curve that I wouldn't notice with my eyes. I slowly move my head towards his pillow I missed him and his scent. A smile spread across my face when I heard him mind link me.

'I miss you too, my Sekai'

'When will you be home?' I mind linked back.

'I'm coming up the path as we speak' I laughed. Soon enough his scent clouded my mind and I felt love radiate through the room. He landed straight next to me with a plop. He quickly moved my hair out of my face. I pulled his hand towards me taking the time to trace each line on it and curve.

"Love, what are you doing?" He chuckled a bit.

"Memorizing you." It was a simple answer.

"That's adorable baby, but you will be able to see soon". He explained. I laughed a bit and continued.

"No." I sighed. "You know how I told you when your blind your other senses are bigger more profound?"

"Yeah?" He questioned.

"Well, I want to memorize everything my eyes can't. From my touch." I slowly caressed his abs through his shirt. "Too your scent." I kissed his neck. I felt him shiver in delight.

"Baby, memorize me all you want." I chuckled and jumped off the bed. Grabbing a hair tie and pulling my hair in a half pony. I heard him grunt into the pillow getting up and putting arms around my waist.

"I was enjoying that." He wined.

"We have to meet in 15 minutes with the donor." I explained.

"How could I forget." He kissed my cheek. While in the office we waiting in silence. I could feel the tension and Kyo's excitement. I felt neither excitement nor happiness just pure guilt. However, if my mate said it was best, I needed to trust him. While a new scent entered the house alone with Alpha Gomez, I was nervous. Would she hate me afterwards? I was taking something so big from her and I knew it. It hurt a lot, but it had to be done. I just wish it wasn't so depressing.

"Welcome, Gomez and..?" Kyo questioned.

"Good afternoon Kyo and Luna." Gomez greeted. "This is Samantha, my Luna." My mouth dried in shock. His Luna wants to give me her sight. Why? The smell of roses and honey filled the room that must be her. My hands were shaking waiting for her to say something. She quickly came up pulling one of my hands to hers.

"This is such an honor Luna, thank you for giving me such an opportunity." My eyes shot up I was surprised. She felt honored? Why? She is as much of a Luna as I was.

"I should be thanking you." I squeezed her hand. "Nobody deserves to live in this darkness, but you're giving your sight up so easily." I almost teared up until she continued.

"Luna, if I may. I have heard of you. You are strong, and courage's. You are everything the blood moon pack needs. Giving you the ability to see would make me proud and give my daughter peace." She must have been told I knew.

"But..But your a Luna you need your sight. I can't take that away from you." I shuddered through my words.

"No. Please I want to do this. Before this need came up, I lived in true darkness. Losing my daughter to the hands of another is the hardest thing I had to go through. I thought there was no hope. I even thought about ending it." She stopped for a second to catch her breath. "However, when my mate came home and said we needed to recruit she-wolfs for this cause, I felt it was a sign. My depression lightened up somehow. The thought of aiding another with what I have to destroy the man that not only hurt my family but my pack made me beam with pride. That is why I am honored." She finished. Alpha Gomez must be devastated with this. First his daughter now his mate wants to be blind. I felt I was inflicting pain.
