A talon black as night, rips away at my very soul.

You stole the brightness from my heart, turned into a lump of coal.

Sucked the very life from me, and made me to feel so small.

Endless nights with you on my mind, constantly building up my brick wall.

Left to sit here and wonder, with this unmovable frown.

Tears falling from my face, a flood so great, I feel like I'll drown.

Forever I shall remain, haunted by the ghost of you.

Numb and in a constant daze, never knowing what to do.

Sometimes I wish I could go back, and stop myself from acting the fool.

Tell you what was really on my mind, replace all this grief I've built up.

How can I be optimistic about things, when it's nothing but tears that fill my cup.

My mind is constantly running, like a racehorse on a never ending track.
