You think I'll crumble, stumble around in the dark helpless and confused.
Here's the thing about all that. I've gotten through life this far already without you.
You think I need you, that I'll always come crawling right back.
Here's the thing about that, I've gotten through life this far already without you.
You think you're special, got some unbreakable bond about you.
Here's the thing about that, I've gotten through life this far already without you.
Every step I've taken, I've taken alone. Every choice I've made, it's always been on my own. You left me here to figure my life out, and so I did.
Now you think you can claim it was you that held my hand, when it's always been just the wind.
Step back and check yourself, because your delusional mind has gone mad.
Let me say this loud and clear, life without you, honestly isn't half bad.
I don't stress, I don't worry, I don't sit in anxious defeat.
Your words about me, however dark you try to make it seem, I smile knowing my spirit will never be beat.
So go on, spread your lies, tell everyone how awful I am. Here's the thing about that, I gotten through life this far without you, and without you is where I stand.
