"Can't Hold Me Down"

Born into this world, of black sludge and goo.

The darkness that seeped from you, stuck onto my soul like glue.

Helpless and weak, grooming me to grovel at your feet.

You tried to steal my innocence away from me, thought you'd never be beat.

You thought I'd shrivel up and die.

Crawl up on the floor and cry.

You tried to render me helpless and alone.

Thinking everything was my fault, that it was I who had to atone.

Today I stand here with my head held high.

Spitting in your face and looking death straight in the eye.

You won't hold sway on me any further.

For it's I who holds the key to my future.

What's done is done, there's no going back.

All I can do is look in front of me, and see where my life is at.

There's healing to be done, and wounds to be closed.

But no longer will I be swayed by your dark ghost.

It's my life, and my way from here on forward.

Never again will your face bring me to my knees.

You were sick, weak, and nothing but a coward.

I'm going to beat this, for this life is in my power.

No longer will my memory be haunted by you.

I'm free of everything you ever put me through.

I will hold my head up high and smile out of pure spite.

For I am strong, and still full of fight.

If it's one thing this life has taught me well.

It's you can't hold me down, you never could.

I've filled my life with light and everything good.

One more thing before I go...I hope you like burning in hell, it suits you swell.
