"Avikaa!!"
Avika groaned and pulled the duvets over her head and snuggled herself deeper inside it.
"AVIKA! WAKE UP it's already nine o'clock. Do you want to be late on your first day of college?" Mahima yelled from the kitchen.
"Muma, paach minute aur" she yelled snuggling.
"AVIKA VARUN DIXIT, if you don't get up this instance you won't get any breakfast today" Mahima warned loudly.
Avika cringed at the use of her full name and reluctantly, pulled the duvets away from her face. Huffing and frowning, she sat up in Indian style rubbing her eyes.
"Avikaa! Are you awake?" her mother called out again.
"YESSSSS!!!!" she yelled purposely over the top of her voice.
"I am not deaf yet" Mahima retorted before averting her attention back to her cooking.
After what seemed like fifteen minutes, Avika finally dragged herself out of her room.
"Look, who is finally awake," Trisha said as she applied butter to the bread.
Avika frowned "What are you doing here early in the morning?"
Anirudh who was sitting on the couch broke into a spontaneous laugh "Don't you remember you guys had a sleepover last night"
Realisation dawned on her face as she recollected everything that happened last night. Her cheeks heated up as she thought about Viraj. The thought of seeing Viraj almost every day for the next two years of her junior college made her feel giddy with happiness.
She had to make sure that she dressed up nicely today.
Trisha shook her head as she saw Avika walk into the bathroom hurriedly. Mahima looked at her questioningly "What is wrong with her?"
"Nothing Auntie," she said before going back to buttering the bread.
Five minutes later, Avika walked out of the bathroom and went inside her room. Grabbing a fresh pair of black jeans and a red kurti from her cupboard, she went back inside the bathroom to take a bath.
"Where is Avi?" Varun asked while removing his slippers at the entrance and keeping them on the rack.
"She is having a shower," Anirudh said.
"What about you? Why are you home today? Don't you have college to attend?" Varun questioned whilst keeping the bags of milk inside the refrigerator.
"He is going to drop Avi and Trisha at their college and then he will go to his," Mahima answered on her son's behalf.
Varun nodded in approval.
"You also got admission in the same college as Avi, right?" Varun asked, pulling out a chair beside Trisha and sitting on it.
