"I have had enough of this stupid orientation" Trisha groaned stretching her legs.
"Me too" Sania whined "I can't stand listening to those stupid rules which none of us will be following"
Avika snickered "True. Why are they even bothering with it?"
"I am going out to take some fresh air," Trisha said, pulling the strap of her bag over her shoulder.
"They're not allowing anyone to leave," Avika said as she pointed out at the three teachers standing at the door.
Trisha shrugged standing on her feet "I am going to say I need to pee"
Avika gaped at her with disbelief.
"What? It always works" Trisha exclaimed, making Avika shake her head.
"But I really need to use the washroom," Sania said grabbing her bag "Let's go before I pee in my pants"
Avika let out a soft laugh at her words.
"Are you attending the entire orientation?" Trisha asked.
Avika glanced at Viraj who was sitting beside Sania before looking at Trisha sheepishly. Trisha shook her head wondering just how stupid her friend was going to be. She sighed deeply "Fine. We will be in the canteen" she let her know.
"You know where the canteen is?" Sania asked, surprised.
"You know how much I love food"
"Of course! I am not even surprised" Avika said, a smile curving on her lips.
Trisha grinned cheekily before her gaze fell on Viraj. "You mister!" she called out her eyes fixated on him.
Viraj whipped his head in the direction of the voice. Realizing it was Trisha who had called him mister instead of calling him by his name, he raised a brow at her questioningly.
"I do have a name you know?" he said, shooting her an annoyed look.
"Does it look like I care?" she retorted tilting her head to the side as she lifted an eyebrow which made him scowl.
Avika squeezed her eyes shut and buried her head in her palms feeling embarrassed. It was Viraj's first day with them in college and Trisha was already picking upon him. Avika didn't even want to imagine what was going to unfold as the days passed by.
She knew better than to stop Trisha because she would only get one reply "If he is going to be your boyfriend, he needs to put up with me and this is my way of testing whether he really deserves you"
Avika could never put up a fight against that because that's what it meant to be best friends. Your best friend's approval always mattered because they knew you better than you knew yourself. They would have your back no matter what and they wouldn't hesitate to punch the guy who would dare to hurt you.
