The perks of living in Dadar was that you didn't have to travel a lot. Everything was available at a walking distance. Be it shopping for clothes, grocery, fruits or books. You could find anything here all you needed to do was walk. Well, of course Siddhivinayak, Dadar chowpatty and Shivaji Park were a bonus for the ones who resided in Dadar.
"Dudee, I am starving" Trisha groaned, rubbing her stomach.
Avika rolled her eyes "You're not hungry. It's the aroma of Vada pav that's making you hungry" she pointed out as they stood across Shri Krishna.
It was their usual place of eating vada pav. Whenever they came in this lane, they ate vada pav without fail. Especially Trisha. She would never say 'no' to vada pav.
"That's right, chico. I am hungry for vada pav" Trisha said as a slow grin quirked her mouth.
"Should I get you one too?" she added as she took out her wallet from the bag.
Avika's phone buzzed in her hand and she looked down to glance at her screen. It was a text from Anirudh. He wanted to meet Trisha. Avika raised her head and sighed. She wondered if she should help her brother to fix his mess or she should stand by her best friend and support her.
She blew out her cheeks and ran her hand through her hair. Contemplating whether to help her brother or not.If she had to be honest, She didn't want to choose from either of them. All she wanted was for them to fix whatever had gone.
"Avi? Did you hear me?"
"Umm.. sorry what?" Avika asked, looking at her best friend startled.
Trisha sighed "I was asking you if I should get you a vada pav too"
Avika nodded with a faint smile on her face.
"Don't space out again" Trisha warned before crossing the road and walking towards the famous Shri Krishna Batata Vada shop.
On cue Avika's phone rang and she picked it up without any hesitance.
"Avi, please tell me where are you? I really need to talk to her" Anirudh's voice came through.
Avika didn't miss the urgency in his voice.
"You sound like one of those desperate boyfriends who want to clear the mess they shouldn't have created in the first place. Are you sure you guys aren't dating each other?" she asked curiosity getting the best out of her.
"At the moment I am not even sure if she will even make me stand before her so please help me. I just want to talk it out with her"
"Alright. We are at Shri Krishna right now so come fast. I will give you whatever privacy you want but if you screw this up bhai then don't even think about asking my help again" Avika warned before ending the call.
